  • AI 🤝 private equity 🤝 value creation From our experience working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, successful value creation involving AI is emerging in three plays: 1️⃣ Using AI to shape the core business model 2️⃣ Centralizing the orchestration of AI at the firm level 3️⃣ Building AI transformation into the sell-side narrative and buy-side target diligence PE firms and their portfolio companies are certainly aware of the transformative nature of AI, but their challenge in 2025 will be managing the journey to tangible value creation. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/exUra7B5 #AI #PrivateEquity #Transformation

We are celebrating another 10-year #TeamFTI anniversary! 🎉 Meet David Brodsky-Porges, a self-delared hobbyist from our Trial services group who enjoys practicing "maximum enthusiasm" and helping clients tell stories through tech. ⤵️ What drew you to FTI Consulting? David: Definitely the people. I came here when the trial services field was going through lots of changes, and I saw FTI Consulting building a team with the best people in the industry. That trend has continued over the last 10 years, and I am very proud to be a part of such a powerhouse group. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? David: My brother-in-law always says, “practice maximum enthusiasm.” I try to apply that to every area of my life, both personal and professional. Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. When we are “in the trenches” with a trial team working late nights, sometimes for weeks on end, the motivation to keep going and striving for perfection requires enthusiasm. How has your past experience as an AV technician prepared you for a career in consulting? David: The A/V field has allowed me to see into some incredibly interesting industries. I have worked in live TV production, medical education and now litigation. I learned quickly that each of these is a performance with the goal of effectively communicating to an audience. Having a career that’s been focused on using those technical and creative skill sets has given me the tools to provide excellent service to our clients in pursuit of helping them tell their stories. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? David: I am definitely a “hobbyist” by nature and am always looking for a creative outlet and an opportunity to learn something new. Lately, I have been getting a lot of enjoyment from photography; it’s a great activity to do while traveling on job sites and gets me out of the hotel and exploring new cities. When I’m home, I love cooking, playing piano and spending time with my growing family.

Congratulations to Daniel Punt on 10 years with #TeamFTI! In this spotlight, Daniel describes his journey in the media and entertainment industry, favorite weekend activity and more. 🏂 What do you like most about working at FTI Delta? Daniel: I enjoy the opportunity to serve clients in the media and entertainment industry across the broadest possible menu of support services. We offer expertise and solutions for every point in the market cycle, placing us ahead of our competitors in breadth. For a small and volatile industry such as M&E, this is essential to remaining relevant. How have your past professional experiences led you to where you are today? Daniel: I've worked in both professional services and industry, culminating in joining FTI Consulting 10 years ago. I started my career at McKinsey as a generalist consultant in the LA office. After deciding to focus on the M&E industry, I joined Disney to run business development for a cable TV channel and had meanwhile sold a script to MTV Networks. Several years later, I moved into post-production and media services. I returned to more specialized entertainment consulting at HighView Media (which FTI Consulting later acquired). These experiences helped establish an industry network that I still tap into today for our client work. What is the most exciting part about telecom, media & technology? Daniel: The TMT industries are dynamic and subject to rapid transformation, often in the form of growth spurts centered on a particular tech innovation. Every several years, new disruptive tech forces change in these industries, which in turn creates opportunities to serve clients. What is something most people don’t know about you? Daniel: I'm an avid snowboarder and spend many weekend afternoons on the mountain in Park City.

  • Congratulations to Kenneth “Casey” W., our Global Head of Cybersecurity and Privacy, who has been named to the 2024 Top Global CISOs Awards list by Cyber Defense Magazine. Learn more about Casey’s dedication to cybersecurity and his role at FTI Consulting below. What does being named to the 2024 Top Global CISOs Awards list mean to you? Casey: First off, it’s the recognition is a tremendous honor. It reflects not just my personal dedication to the field of cybersecurity, but also the collective efforts of my team at FTI Consulting. This recognition underscores our commitment to advancing cybersecurity practices and protecting our clients’ critical assets. It’s a testament to the hard work and the innovative strategies we’ve implemented to stay ahead of evolving threats. When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in cybersecurity? Casey: My interest in cybersecurity sparked during my time in the U.S. Army. Serving in various capacities, I witnessed firsthand the importance of securing information and the devastating impact of cyber threats. This experience ignited a passion for cybersecurity, leading me to pursue a career where I could make a significant impact in protecting organizations from cyber risks. How has your role evolved over the years? Casey: Over the years, my role has evolved significantly. Initially, it was about understanding and mitigating immediate threats (reactive approach). Today, it’s much more strategic. Over the 17 years I’ve been at FTI Consulting, I’ve developed and been able to focus on building a comprehensive security program, using multiple regulatory and best practice frameworks, advising on regulatory compliance, and integrating cybersecurity into the broader business strategy. The landscape of cyber threats has of course become more complex, but our change to this more proactive and holistic approach to security has served us well. What is your top personal cybersecurity tip? Casey: My top personal cybersecurity tip is to always be vigilant and proactive. Staying ahead of threats through regular updates to software and systems, the use of strong, unique passwords, and enabling multi-factor authentication wherever possible are “table stakes” for a strong cyber defense. Also, cybersecurity is not just the responsibility of IT departments; it’s a shared responsibility. Staying informed and cautious can significantly reduce the risk of cyber incidents.
