We are changing that narrative! For most women across India, safety remains a constant concern. Edge n Impact is an initiative by Indian Army Officers to train girls and women in self defense and life saving skills. In India, where societal norms often restrict women’s mobility and agency, this initiative goes beyond self-defense and physical training - it’s about reclaiming public spaces , building confidence, and providing women with practical skills to become protectors when needed. Givfunds recently partnered with Edge n Impact for an impactful and energetic training session with the Women Exemplars at CII Foundation. From techniques for everyday defense using accessible items like keys and pens to practicing real-life scenarios, the session was both empowering and fun.
