𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟏𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭! Yesterday in New Delhi, I had the privilege of launching #HerSkillHerFuture, a transformative initiative aimed at empowering 100,000 widows through skill development and sustainable livelihood opportunities. This remarkable program, led by the Women's Collective Forum, in collaboration with the The Loomba Foundation and the Confederation of Indian Industry, is a testament to the power of shared leadership and collective action. The leadership of Cherie Blair CBE (Cherie Booth K.C.) and Lord Loomba CBE has been instrumental in highlighting the plight of widows globally, and I am honoured to join them in this endeavour. Their tireless advocacy, combined with the proactive commitment of industry captains like Sunil Kant Munjal, demonstrates how businesses can step up to foster meaningful change. When industry leaders embrace their role in creating economic inclusion, the impact is transformative. Under the aegis of the CII Foundation, this initiative is not just about skilling widows but also ensuring they are connected to viable livelihood opportunities, paving the way for true financial empowerment. This is a step toward a more equitable future—one where widows are not marginalized but empowered to lead dignified, independent lives. Together, we can build a world where no woman is left behind.
