Grateful for the opportunity to present the work we have done on the Glific platform at the Water Quality Network Conference. This hands-on session allowed participants to design WhatsApp chatbots addressing real-world water challenges in their communities. I was truly amazed by the curiosity in the room—questions like “Can image recognition detect water levels in dams and reservoirs?” or “Can it assess if a water quality testing instrument meets industry standards?” sparked insightful discussions on the role of AI and technology in solving critical issues. Seeing people think through solutions for the challenges they face on the ground was inspiring! A huge thank you to Kiran Kumar Sen and Sunderrajan Krishnan for curating such a rich and engaging conference, bringing together the experts for meaningful conversations. Looking forward to more such conversations and collaborations! #AIforGood #Tech4Dev #Glific Project Tech4Dev INREM Foundation

It's been 1.5 years in doing "tech for social impact", and about 5.5 years in social impact/ development sector. Time flies, in good company I suppose? But I was recently thinking back to what I have truly enjoyed in the due course, what had kept me for 4 years in Reap Benefit and then what truly excites me about working with a diverse set of non-profits as a product manager for Glific, this is what came up: I love making stuff, love to facilitate prototyping and problem solving. Being in an environment where folks are engaged in getting shit done invigorates me. I find my tribe in people who do first and think later. I remember conceptualising a chatbot driven Solvathon for young changemakers to make an impact within their homes and communities at the peak of lockdown in 2020. It was the most fulfilled I have probably felt, ever. It was a similar attempt (subconsciously) in re-imagining Glific's NGO sprint into a makers gathering. To bring the energy of prototyping, and trust in the drive within the folks to solve their own problems by keeping no-agenda open-work-time. Hopefully this might lead to innovating/ trying out something they wouldn't otherwise have the time for (owing to the daily grind) This is what folks from 19 non-profits were able to accomplish in the 2 days with the Glific team at the Glific Makers Gathering: https://lnkd.in/g6HzBpE2 Grateful for the folks who trusted in the process and gave it their best. It was a riot :)

Key Learnings from the Glific Sprint in Mahabalipuram! Over an intense and collaborative week, the Glific Sprint 2025 brought together 20 Glific NGOs and their tech teams to experiment, build, and innovate around WhatsApp automation under the AI, Data and Refresh tracks. This was our first of its kind “Maker’s Gathering” where 60-65% of the time was allocated to designing and building using the Glific platform for the AI and Data tracks. Tejas Mahajan led the AI track along with Anandu and Priyesh Sikariwal, Gautam Prakash led the Data track with Amisha Bisht and, Krishna Priya Dwibhashi led the refresh track along with Sangeeta Mishra and Akansha Sakhre. Waste Warriors Society joined us from Uttrakhand. Their bot is used to spread awareness of their work, and they were looking at how to draw some insights from the bot onto a dashboard. Another NGO eVidyaloka Trust, has been around for 14 years in the sector of engaging volunteers to teach in public schools, they built their bot for the first time, though they have been with us since 4 months. The learning in the sprint pushed them to design and create in a way that they thought would not have been possible on their own. 💡 Biggest Takeaway? Tech solutions are most powerful when co-created with the people using them! 📖 Read the full sprint recap by Radhika Bhagwat: https://lnkd.in/gyje6Ex3 #GlificSprint #TechForGood #ChatbotsForChange #NGOInnovation #SocialImpactTech Project Tech4Dev
