𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝘅 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 : 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 Bharat Tex 2025 is the biggest textile event in India, highlighting the nation's textile products throughout the value chain. The Aditya Birla Group participated as a Platinum Partner at Bharat Tex 2024. Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL), organised a roadshow in Surat on November 29th, to promote the upcoming Bharat Tex 2025. The roadshow was exceptionally well-attended, with over 500 participants, and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles , Shri Giriraj Singh, was the Chief Guest and Hon'ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti , Shri C. R. Patil was the Guest of Honour . Shri Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary (Textiles), Ministry of Textiles , Smt Mamta Verma , Principal Secretary Industries & Mines Department , Government of Gujarat , Shri Sandip Sagale , Industries Commissioner , Government of Gujarat and Shri Abhimanyu Joint DGFT , Surat were present at the event, in addition to leading stakeholders from the Textiles & Clothing Sector in Gujarat. The Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, highlighted the growing opportunities for export of Textiles and Clothing Sector including Technical Textiles. He appreciated the efforts made by the Industry towards recycling of PET Bottles which saves the environment from disastrous effects caused by the disposal of waste bottles. Shri C.R. Patil , Hon'ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti , in his address , spoke about P.M.Mitra Park. Shri Rohit Kansal , Additional Secretary , Textiles informed the participants about the evolution of Bharat Tex and it's growing recognition as the biggest exhibition in the World for the Textiles & Clothing Sector including Technical Textiles covering the entire value chain. Smt Mamta Verma , spoke about the facilities offered by the Gujarat Government for the T & C sector . She also made announced that Gujarat will be a Partner State in Bharat Tex 2025. Celebrating the spirit of empowerment and #inclusion demonstrated through our 30th free artificial hand and limb fitment camp. Held at Grasim Harihar and inaugurated on the birth anniversary of Sri Aditya Vikram Birla in collaboration with the Karnataka Marwari Youth Federation—Bangalore, this camp brought the inaccessible, expensive, and specialized medical care to the disabled people living in the remote areas of India. Under the direction of Mrs. Rajashree Birla, Chairperson, Aditya Birla Center for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, this six-day camp running from 9th November to 14th November 2024 helped numerous beneficiaries with their needs. Started in 1995, and helping more than 4,722 PWDs to date, this camp reaffirms our commitment to creating a more inclusive society, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. During his visit, the minister was given a comprehensive overview of the manufacturing process and had detailed discussions with 𝗠𝗿. The minister also interacted with employees of Birla Cellulose to get a first-hand account of the process and production of Viscose fibre, that is used to make high-quality and cost-effective fabrics. Our state of the art infrastructure developed at Kharach, enhances opportunities for downstream customers and exemplifies the excellence of Indian industry. The honourable minister’s visit to the BC Kharach plant comes in the wake of the proposed Textile Park, planned to be set up in Navsari under the PM Mitra Scheme. Covering 1100 acres of land, the Park is a key part of the central government’s initiative to develop the country’s textile industry and establish it as a leader at the global level.
