2025, We're Ready for You! As we stand at the doorstep of 2025, it's time to reflect, celebrate, and say THANK YOU—to the year that was, the people who walked beside us, and the moments that left us forever changed. At Happymiles Outdoor Learning, 2024 was nothing short of a revelation. It was the year we dared to dream bigger and redefine how architecture students experience the world.  Here’s a walk through the milestones that shaped this incredible year:  *January: Freezing Lessons in South Korea* "Even the smallest details can shape the biggest visions." In the icy winds of Seoul, we uncovered how meticulous design defines entire cities. From the futuristic works of Zaha Hadid ,Mario Botta Jean Nouvel to the brilliance of urban planning, South Korea became a masterclass in design. It was the spark we needed to launch an unforgettable 2024!  *Sri Lanka: Legacy inspires, action transforms.* Sri Lanka introduced us to the genius of Geoffrey Bawa, teaching us how to blend tradition with modernity. But what made this journey extraordinary was the challenge we took on revamping a tribal school. Together with our students, we turned visions into reality, brick by brick. *India: Education spaces are temples of identity.* " From Kolkata to Santiniketan, Bhubaneswar, and the iconic Nalanda University, we dived deep into campus architecture. These spaces reminded us how design can foster purpose, legacy, and growth. Each visit left our students with valuable lessons on creating educational landmarks that inspire generations. *Nepal:"Conservation is not restoration—it’s resurrection*." Nepal was a masterclass in resilience. We witnessed how the country is rebuilding its lost architectural glory after devastating earthquakes. Though our dream conservation program couldn’t take off in 2024, it has fueled our vision for 2025. We’re coming back stronger and ready to make it happen! *Cambodia: Mysteries, Myths, and Magnificence "In every detail lies a story*, in every story lies a masterpiece." Walking through the enigmatic Angkor temples, discovering the myth of Naga, and marveling at the scale of geometry—it felt like stepping into a living storybook. 2024: The Year of Stories and Strides This year wasn’t just about places—it was about people, connections, and the belief that students can change the world. Every trip, every project, and every moment with our students reminded us why we’re here: to inspire, to teach, and to empower. At Happymiles, we’re on a mission to build not just trips but transformative journeys. This new year, we’re ready to tackle challenges, embrace new adventures, and create milestones that shape the future. Because "every mile is a story waiting to be told." Here’s to dreaming big, building stronger, and making 2025 a year to remember.  Happymiles Outdoor Learning #TravelSchool #TransformingStudentTravel #MakingMilestones #itravelilearn

We are incredibly proud to have organized a meaningful and successful CAS trip. We recently concluded a memorable 5-day journey to Jaipur and Ranthambhore, designed to provide a blend of experiential learning and enjoyment while ensuring the team’s comfort and well-being. The trip included impactful visits to NGOs such as Rajasthan Netrahin Kalyan Sangh in Jaipur, I-India NGO (Ladli), and Dastkar NGO for block printing, along with a fascinating blue pottery workshop and an exploration of the remarkable innovation behind Jaipur Foot. These enriching experiences offered our learners a deeper insight into our culture, community, and the importance of contributing to a better world. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team Maya Menon Kinjal Goradia Sourabh Navalgund Happymiles Outdoor Learning for their unwavering support and for uplifting everyone’s spirits throughout the journey.

  • Most Unique CAS experience: Turning 🐘 Poo Into Paper 🌳 🌳 The highlight? Creating cards, bookmarks, and posters from this unique paper, proves that sustainability can also be artistic. Imagine this: an adult elephant can produce up to 16 piles of dung daily. With 12 elephants, that’s one tonne of dung each day, transforming into 50 million A4 sheets of paper annually! Our CAS trip to the Elephant Conservation Centre was a transformative experience. Students dived into the fascinating process of turning elephant dung into sustainable paper. From sorting and boiling the fibres to manually pressing and drying the sheets, they witnessed every step of this eco-friendly craft. This journey wasn’t just an adventure; it was a powerful lesson in environmental stewardship and creativity. Let’s continue to innovate and make a meaningful impact on our world! • How Crucial is Culture in Shaping Regional Design & Architecture? Exploring the architecture of a region goes beyond mere aesthetics; it's about delving into the very soul of its culture. Recently, Our students had the incredible opportunity to witness the Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat in Varanasi. This experience highlighted how deeply intertwined culture is with architecture. Understanding local traditions and beliefs not only enriches our appreciation of design but also shapes how we approach architectural innovation. Join me in discovering how culture breathes life into the buildings that define our landscapes." https://lnkd.in/gtQFrynT #ArchitectureStudents #ArchitectureEducation #ArchitecturalDesign #CulturalArchitecture #Varanasi #GangaAarti #ArchitecturalInnovation #CultureAndDesign #ArchitectureFaculty #ArchitecturalHeritage #BuiltEnvironment

  • What does a mask represent ? 🎨 Excited to share our latest group project: miniature mask painting, straight from Kandy (Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 ) 🖌️ These tiny canvases challenge our attention to detail and creativity, reflecting the rich tradition of mask paintings in Kandy culture. Masks in Sri Lankan culture represent various deities, characters from folklore, and are used in traditional rituals and performances. Each brushstroke feels like crafting a tiny piece of art together. Do you enjoy group art projects too? Share your thoughts in the comments! #GroupArtProject #MiniatureArt #MaskPainting #KandyCulture #SriLankanArt
