Mr. Madhan R, Director, IGSTC, visited SASTRA Deemed University and delivered an insightful talk on Indo-German Collaborative Research Funding Opportunities. During his visit, he engaged in project progress discussions with WISER Awardee Dr. Ramya Devi Durai and Dr. Svenja Nellinger, as well as PECFAR Awardee Dr Dhakshinamoorthy Sundaramurthi. Madhan R, Director, IGSTC delivered a comprehensive talk at CSIR NEERI, sharing the milestones achieved by IGSTC in enhancing Indo-German S&T cooperation since its inception. He elaborated on the various funding opportunities IGSTC offers to foster scientific and technological innovation between India and Germany through applied research and networking. IGSTC 2+2 project BETTERyRec's German team visited Indian project partners CSIR-Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar and Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd. (HSCL), Kolkata to advance their collaborative efforts on innovative solutions for battery waste recycling. The BETTERyRec project partners are working on #BioIonFlotation technology for the recovery of metals from spent battery waste and recycling wastewater.   The German project partners include Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF) at HZDR and MEAB Chemie Technik GmbH.
