As a second-year #PGPEM student, Tanaya Sethi took her academic journey to new heights at KAIST COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, Seoul, thanks to the Student Exchange Program. KAIST, perched on hilly slopes with sweeping mountain views, offered the perfect backdrop to its rigorous academic environment and strong research focus. It introduced Tanaya to a vibrant intellectual community—from professors to PhD scholars diving into AI and astrophysics. The experience broadened her perspective, both inside and outside the classroom. Beyond KAIST’s innovation-driven campus, Seoul became an extension of her learning. A city that balances tradition with progress, its lively food scene and tranquil trails were as enriching as its academic halls. For Tanaya, this wasn’t just an exchange—it was a chapter of self-discovery, growth, and new horizons. #PGPEM students are known for their exceptional ability to juggle multiple responsibilities—managing demanding bosses, meeting assignment deadlines, and fulfilling family commitments. This unique #multitasking experience prepares us for greater challenges and leadership roles in corporate and life. It’s not uncommon to see colleagues or professionals from the same organization joining the PGPEM journey, sometimes even in different cohorts. Interestingly, we’ve seen cases where managers and their reportees study in separate cohorts, with the junior taking on the senior role in the classroom! Himanshu and Devanti have taken this dynamic to a whole new level, creating a truly unique and inspiring story within the iconic stone walls of #IIMB. Innoventure ’24, the flagship event of PGPEM at IIM Bangalore, celebrated #entrepreneurship and #innovation with thought-provoking discussions and activities and attracted a vibrant audience of students, faculty, and professionals. Anju shared her passion for #mentoring young entrepreneurs at IvyCamp offering encouraging insights for those embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys. Innoventure ’24, the flagship event of #PGPEM (Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management) at #IIMB, was hosted on 29th Sep with great enthusiasm. Centered on the theme of #entrepreneurship, the event began with a vibrant opening ceremony graced by speakers, panelists, faculty, participants, and an engaged audience from various programs at IIM Bangalore. Prof. Dr Ashis Mishra, Chairperson of PGPEM, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. In his address, he commended the initiative and emphasized how such events align with the program's vision of providing students with meaningful exposure to the entrepreneurial and business ecosystem. The keynote address by Srikanth Iyer was both insightful and captivating. Drawing from his journey with Edurite and HomeLane, he exemplified the rewards and hurdles of being an early mover. He shared valuable lessons and recommendations, including: -The critical need for clarity in Go-To-Market (#GTM) strategy and product scope -A comprehensive understanding of competitors, including less obvious ones -Deep insights into consumer, customer, and influencer behaviors, as well as consumption preferences, #Innovation in identifying partners, collaborators, and distribution models, and -The sheer grit and determination required to succeed.
