The USIBC - US India Business Council and Molecule Group were delighted to host the first India-based Sustainable Fuels, Chemicals, and Materials in New Delhi. We are grateful to our Session Partners Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and Indian Biogas Association (IBA) who helped us lead two impactful discussions on technology research, development and deployment and on feedstock logistics, supply chain and infrastructure.    The event was opened by featured remarks from Dr. Sangita Kasture, Scientist G, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). This was followed by remarks from Dr. Gerard Ostheimer, CEO of Molecule Group who mapped the global trajectory of cooperation on sustainable fuels, chemicals and materials. We were also joined by Dr. G Sridhar, Director General, India’s National Institute of Bioenergy who noted the importance of innovation in the space of feedstock and technology. Thank you to SANJAY GANJOO, Director General of IFGE, and Gaurav Kedia [गौरव केडिया], Chairman of IBA for their critical partnership in leading the discussions.    The workshop served as a platform to align industry priorities ahead of critical multilateral engagements, including the G7 and G20, and built on the discussions led by the Global Alliance on Biofuels. Participants engaged in discussions on accelerating policy support for bio-based, e-fuel, and synthetic pathways, with a particular focus on sustainable fuels for aviation and maritime, gaseous fuels, and next-generation materials. The workshop marked the beginning of a global series of roundtables aimed at fostering public-private collaboration to shape the future of sustainable molecules. Similar discussions are set to take place in South America, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, ensuring continued momentum on the prioritization of this area. Ambassador (ret.)
