Exploring Student Needs and Aspirations: A Productive Visit by GTS Alive Delegates to India We're excited to share first part of the highlights of an insightful visit to India by our esteemed delegates from GTS Alive – Matt East (CEO), David Boniface (CFO), Tomas Bohm (Commercial Director), and Kristýna St. James (Senior Manager – Group Business Development). The purpose of this visit was to deepen our understanding of the challenges and aspirations that students in India face, as well as to explore opportunities for enhancing the value we provide as the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Association. Understanding Student Aspirations: Focus Group Discussions and Interviews During their visit, Kristyna and Tomas engaged directly with students from KIIT WORLD SCHOOL and Gurugram University through interviews and focus group discussions. These sessions were an invaluable opportunity to listen to the voices of students as they shared their challenges, needs, and dreams. The feedback gathered will play a pivotal role in shaping how ISIC can support the students in India even more effectively. Kristyna and Tomas also engaged in a constructive dialogue about the challenges faced by universities in India. The discussion centered on how ISIC, as a global student organization, can collaborate with educational institutions to address these challenges and provide greater value to both students and the wider academic community. We are excited to announce that our delegates from Prague, Czech Republic, recently visited India, and their experience at KIIT World School was truly phenomenal! KIIT WORLD SCHOOL, Gurugram, is a renowned educational institution that provides high-quality education to students from kindergarten through to senior secondary levels. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, the school fosters a holistic learning environment that focuses on both academic excellence and personal development. During their visit, our team had the opportunity to meet with the school’s management to gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by educational institutions today. This initiative, led by ISIC, a 71-year-old global student organization, aims to explore how we can play a role in addressing these challenges and supporting the educational ecosystem in India. In addition to meeting the management, we conducted an in-depth interview and a focus group discussion with students to better understand the real challenges they face in student life, as well as their aspirations for the future. These insights will guide us in developing a tailored product designed to help students.
