    Are We Paying a "Luxury Tax" for Using an iPhone? 🤔 I recently stumbled upon something surprising: many popular apps— Medium, Google, Uber, Zepto, and more—charge different prices based on the device you use. And guess what? If you’re using an iPhone, chances are you’re paying more! 📱💸 This isn’t just a coincidence; it’s a calculated strategy called device-based dynamic pricing: ✅ iPhone users = perceived as premium customers, hence higher prices. ✅ Android users = wider affordability range, so prices are relatively lower. ✅ App Store commissions = 30% fee that often gets passed on to iOS users. While companies use this strategy to optimize revenue, it raises a few serious questions: 1) Should pricing vary simply because of the phone we use? 2) Is this fair to consumers who already paid a premium for their devices? 3) Are companies becoming less transparent about their pricing strategies?     Fun Experiment Alert! 📱✨ There’s always talk about iPhone users paying more than Android users for the same products. So, I decided to do a little test for fun! Checked prices of the exact same items from Zepto, delivering to the same address, using three different phones: 1️⃣ Samsung S22 2️⃣ iPhone 15 Pro Max 3️⃣ Samsung S23 Ultra Now, guess which phone showed the highest prices for each item? Spoiler: It wasn’t always the iPhone! 🍎 Looks like pricing can be totally random sometimes. Just goes to show—you never know what’s happening behind the scenes!
