Against all odds, Durgamma’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of education. Once forced to drop out after 8th grade due to financial struggles, Durgamma’s dreams of a brighter future seemed out of reach. But everything changed when she found support through Magic Bus India Foundation and JSW Foundation Aspire Education Programme. With a renewed sense of purpose and the backing of her family, she returned to school, enrolling in 9th grade at Priyadarshini School, Mariyammanahalli. Today, Durgamma isn’t just thriving academically — she’s gaining invaluable life skills that will help shape her future. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power of education and community support. This is just the beginning of a journey filled with endless possibilities. Celebrating the success of Mohd. Arif – a true #MagicMaker at Magic Bus India Foundation! As an Academic Educator, his unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have sparked a remarkable transformation in the lives of 140 students at Government Woodburn M.E. School in Kolkata. Under his guidance, 82 students who began at Level 1—reflecting the foundational skills of Grades 1 and 2—have advanced to Level 2 (Grades 3 and 4 competence) in just one year! The remaining 58 students also showed impressive progress, laying a solid foundation for their continued growth at the Community Learning Centre. Mohd. Arif’s impact goes far beyond numbers—he has ignited curiosity, nurtured confidence, and opened doors to a brighter, #Magiकल future for each child he mentors. His passion for education shines through every step of this inspiring journey. As we celebrate his success, we look ahead to an even greater milestone: By the end of Year 3, every child will reach Level 3, mastering grade-appropriate skills at the level of Grade 5. This isn’t just about academic progress; it’s about transforming lives. With leaders like Mohd. Arif, we’re not just changing outcomes—we’re shaping brighter futures. At Magic Bus India Foundation, we believe in the power of adolescents to spark change. A perfect example is the Bal Panchayat at Kundal Primary School, a group of young leaders who, with our support, are shaping a healthier future. When some students discovered their peers were consuming gutka, supari, and tobacco out of ignorance, the Bal Panchayat sprang into action. They alerted the school and advocated for immediate action. With the support of the Chief Minister and Health Minister of the Bal Panchayat, they wrote an application requesting a de-addiction camp, which was swiftly approved by the school principal. Thanks to this collaboration, a de-addiction camp was held, educating students about the dangers of substance abuse and empowering them to make healthier choices. This initiative is proof that when youth take charge, they can truly change the game. With initiatives like the Bal Panchayat, we are nurturing a generation that is informed, resilient, and empowered—one that is equipped to make healthier choices and lead with confidence. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter, healthier, and #Magiकल future for all. #MagicBusIndiaFoundation #ChildhoodToLivelihood #BalPanchayat #Panchayat #EmpowerTheFuture #TogetherForChange #YouthEmpowerment #ChangeMakers #YouthLeadership #BalPanchayat #DrugFree
