Virat Kohli's Mauka This is one of Mauka's most-liked videos in our course repository. It doesn't hurt that the video discusses India's most liked cricketer, Virat Kohli. We show this early in our programs to drive home a crucial point: no training is truly effective without the right attitude and willingness to learn. The "Attitude-Behaviour-Action" cycle is a classic concept used to instill discipline and create an identity for yourself to stay consistent or build habits. But it seems much cooler when Virat says this in his words. At Mauka, we believe young Indians deserve examples they can connect with. For the past 3 years, Mauka® has trained and talked to young Indians who struggle with speaking English. They believe with better confidence in English, they could do more. Be more. And we believe them. These bright individuals might not have the same upbringing that young folks in cosmopolitan settings had despite them having comparable qualifications on paper. Being a boss shouldn't be a free pass for bad behavior. And, the good news is that young Indians don't bow down to authority. They stand up for themselves and for what's right. Any young entrant in the workforce should learn how to be assertive. At Mauka® we help you do this by taking the Indian culture of hierarchy into account. Being assertive is more nuanced than it seems. It requires a balance between drawing your boundaries, being respectful, and not getting personal. It’s now turned into a favorite feature among us. Personalized One-on-One Prep: Encouraged by this enthusiasm, we introduced personalized sessions tailored for all our users and community members. This isn’t about just rehearsing typical interview questions; it’s about having discussions that matter in the last days of prep, including current affairs, mocks, and any personal questions. Customized Mock Interviews: Thanks to our community’s input, we’ve tailored mock interviews to specifically reflect the colleges that candidates are aiming for. It’s all about giving them the practice they need, right where they need it, complete with feedback that’s both instant and insightful. Caring Beyond Prep: We know the interview trail can be tough on candidates’ nerves, especially in the last few weeks of the cycle. In the past few weeks, I've had the opportunity to speak with over 1000 students across three prominent educational institutions in Mumbai. I highlighted the confidence crisis that young professionals and students face in the formative years of their careers. They are then penalised for their lack of confidence at critical junctures such as a job or a b-school interview, or being in a client-facing role where their performance hinges on their confidence. Mauka® hopes to be an antidote to that. Mauka® is focused on solving the confidence crisis that young students and professionals face. Technology and more specifically AI are the enablers for us to get to them at scale. Our latest product, "maukinterview" has 900+ users within a few weeks of building and shipping it. This is a testament to the market's hunger for solutions to this confidence gap. maukinterview is currently helping MBA aspirants get confident to crack their dream b-school interview. We are expanding our offerings to include other use cases and aim to reach as many students and professionals as possible this year. Most of these sessions have concluded with a lot of these students coming up to me, Shrey, or Harsh and mentioning how they needed a solution like ours to improve their skills. Team Mauka® went to the drawing board 5 weeks ago to build a product that helps b-school aspirants get more confident for their interviews. maukinterview was born. 5 weeks later, maukinterview has ~700 users using our product to calm their nerves before interviews and get feedback on how to improve their answers. And we're just getting started. Soft skills for young Indians is an interesting and challenging proposition. We have shape-shifted countless times to solve the problem. We wanted to be present for them at critical junctures of their lives where they need to be their confident selves. Interviews seem to be just the place for that. The wordplay of "maukinterview" to make it sound like "mock interview" is the second-best thing we came up with after the product itself! Needless to say, maukinterview's growth is thanks to the incredible team I am grateful to have at Mauka®!
