About us
MITTI Café is a non-profit organisation that provides employment and experiential training to adults with physical, intellectual, and psychiatric disabilities. We operate over 40 cafes in spaces like Supreme Court, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Lucknow Airport, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Wells Fargo, Infosys, Wipro, EY. The following is a brief mention of the programs under our high-impact livelihood model: MITTI Café: A chain of cafes completely operated by persons with disabilities. We have 40 cafes within airports, corporates, colleges, malls through which our team of adults has served over 10 million meals and beverages. Experiential training: Each MITTI Café facilitates experiential training for adults with a disability. Experiential training includes food, logistics, housing, and a stipend for the trainees before placements. MITTI Karuna (Compassion) Meals: Our team of disabled adults provide food to economically vulnerable families who lack access to it. Since its inception during COVID-19, we have served over 4 million meals. MITTI Good Gifts: Our platform showcases products made by NGOs and social enterprises from marginalised communities. We have shipped over 1.5 lakh gifts worldwide to companies such as Microsoft, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Intuit, IQVIA, and Rapido. MITTI has received numerous awards and recognitions for its impact, including the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, NITI Aayog Women Transforming India Award, UN Intercultural Innovation Award, YSE Deutsche Bank Award, Commonwealth Youth Icon Award, Mindtree Helen Keller Award, among others.
