We were honored to welcome Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel ji at our Patparganj Facility, Delhi. Commemorating National Dairy Development Board’s Diamond Jubilee Year and the birth anniversary of Late Shri Tribhuvandas Patel, regarded as the Father of the Cooperative Movement in India, Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Government of India, launched a slew of initiatives aimed at benefitting the farmers and the consumers of our country. Amongst the initiatives, the Hon’ble Union Minister virtually laid the foundation stone of Mother Dairy’s proposed integrated fruits & vegetables processing facility in Itola, Vadodara, Gujarat to be set up under the horticulture brand Safal. Furthermore, on behalf of Mother Dairy & Safal, Shri Shah facilitated incentive payments to farmers from Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya for their produce supplied to Safal. On the occasion, Shri Amit Shah launched Mother Dairy's Gir Ghee, which uses Blockchain Technology from ‘Bharat Pashudan,’ enabling consumers to trace the product's source via a QR code on the pack. This initiative aims to boost transparency and align with international quality standards. Additionally, a MoU was signed between National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) and Mother Dairy to market Bharat Organics products across various channels. Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. signed a significant agreement with Rahata Milk Union in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries, Government of Maharashtra during a ceremony in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District. Shri Jayatheertha Chary, Deputy Managing Director of MDFVPL, represented Mother Dairy, while Shri Raosaheb Vasantrao Deshmukh, Chairman represented Rahata Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Maryadit. The event was also graced by Shri V. Srinivas, Regional Head (Western Region) NDDB Mumbai, and Shri Anil Hatekar, Managing Director, Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Dudh Mahasangh. This partnership will enable Rahata Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh to supply surplus milk to Mother Dairy, enhancing milk procurement from local farmers and boosting milk production in Rahata Taluka, contributing to the growth and prosperity of the region’s dairy industry.

In 1965, Dr. Verghese Kurien, the visionary known as the Father of the White Revolution, laid the foundation of an initiative that forever changed our country’s dairying landscape – the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). As an apex dairy development institution of the country, NDDB has transformed India’s rural economy by making dairying viable and sustainable for millions of milk producers while addressing the country’s need for self-sufficiency in milk production. From humble beginnings to contributing around 25% of the world’s total milk production, India's dairy story is one of resilience, innovation, and progress, led by NDDB.
