NeevJivan Foundation

Non-profit Organizations

An NGO working in the area of Skill Development & Vocational Training for our fellow citizens based in rural India.

About us

It all began with the images of desperate migrant workers returning home during the initial days of the pandemic. It was then that we decided that a genuine attempt must be made to ensure that they don’t go back to the cities for their livelihood. This obviously meant that these people had to be skilled/re-skilled/up-skilled in such a manner that they got absorbed in the local industries or set up enterprises of their own. Our objective is to make them capable enough to get employed closer to home so that they never lived as migrants again. NeevJivan Foundation is attempting to create opportunities for sustainable livelihood for the underserved using well curated and impactful livelihood programs in two streams a. Skills for Employment and b. Skills for Entrepreneurship. The program comprises of both technical and soft skills with higher weightage to the later and is based in Gandhiji’s principles of “Nai Talim” wherein the focus is on wholesome work and experiential learning as the medium of knowledge sharing. The program has been designed to give each student an opportunity for wholesome learning and in the process, we have attempted to make it as experiential as possible so that they could learn by “experiencing the problems”. The pedagogy is designed on the principles of group learning. The 75 to 90-day program is a combination of training workshops, interactive games & decoding group dynamics and on-line sessions – with maximum time being spent on practical aspects and the balance on theory. At the end of the program, we attempt to place our students in reputed organizations or help them start an enterprise of their own.
