Recently, the Government of Karnataka, under the leadership of the Deputy CM of Karnataka, Shri D.K. Shivakumar, announced the "Samatva Program" to come to the aide of rural government schools, with holistic intervention. A call for action was made and many Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives had responded to the same. OSAAT had pledged to take up 5 such schools all over Karnataka. Recently, OSAAT met with the Principal Secretary of Education, Shri Ritesh Kumar Singh, along with Shri BV Jagadeesh, Chairman OSAAT, Shri Kedar CS, Advisor OSAAT and Shri Vadiraja Bhatt, founder & managing trustee, OSAAT Educational Charitable Trust, to submit a progress report and list specific schools that have been selected after OSAAT's screening process. Two schools in the district of Kolar, two schools in Mysuru district, and one School in Belagavi have been identified, and these projects are expected to start soon. To date, OSAAT has completed over 116 school infrastructure projects. These five additional 'holistic schools' will set a new template for strengthening our rural communities, giving hope to village children and parents, and implementing Samatva among citizens of Karnataka. The selected schools are : Kolar district: 1. Government Model Higher Primary School, Kamasamudram village, Bangarpete taluk, Kolar district, Karnataka – 563129 2. Government Junior College (High School Section), Bangarpet town, Kolar district, Karnataka – 563114 Mysuru district: 3. Karnataka Public School (Higher Primary Section), Hemmaragala village, Nanjangud taluk, Mysuru district, Karnataka – 571312 4. Government Higher Primary School, Hediyala village, Nanjanagud taluk, Mysuru district, Karnataka – 571315 Belagavi district: 5. Government Model Higher Primary School, Chachadi village, Savadatti taluk, Belagavi district, Karnataka – 591102

OSAAT is proud to launch its 112th project. The beneficiary is the High School section in Government Pre-University College, Sullia in Dakshina Kannada. Thanks to our repeat donors Smt. Sandhya & Shri. Guru Pangal as well as Smt. Nirmala Jay Pullur. We are very hopeful that the teachers and students of this school will feel empowered to scale new heights with this intervention, use and treasure the building for many years and many more generations to benefit from this project.
