Over the years at Parinaam, as part of our Chote Kadam project we've designed blueprints for healthcare centres, bus stations, community hubs, solar lighting systems, safe water projects and many more. Each was designed with absolute economy and utility in mind. While designing them, we realised it would be valuable to share these blueprints with the world, enabling others to easily replicate similar projects. If you're working on a similar initiative or part of an organisation invested in renovating public spaces, our designs are open for you to use! Take a moment to explore the link below—you might find something useful for yourself or someone you know! https://lnkd.in/gu9H4A_4

We are an NGO working to break down intergenerational poverty.
About us
Parinaam is a Non-Government, Non- profit organization that works towards eliminating urban poverty in India. Parinaam engages with the unserved and underserved ultra-poor communities in Bangalore, who lack access to basic facilities of food, hygiene, shelter, and safety. With a vision to eliminate generational poverty, Parinaam is transforming one community at a time through a multidimensional and targeted approach across healthcare, education, financial literacy, social infrastructure, and social support interventions so that the underprivileged communities can break the shackles of poverty and lead a life of dignity. It's always worth the while to come across partners who not only share sincere visions towards DEI but also go the extra mile to integrate them at every micro level possible. With a shared goal of making financial literacy accessible, Parinaam partnered with dentsu employees to facilitate a hands-on "Training of Teachers" workshop to create effective educators. Guided by Parinaam’s seasoned trainers, who bring years of experience in delivering financial literacy to underprivileged communities, and using advanced, culturally relevant modules—we helped participants gain essential, practical skills to confidently share financial knowledge within dentsu's targeted networks. A resident of the Koolinagar community in Bangalore, Makkabi is one of the most driven entrepreneurs we've had the privilege to support. Once a beneficiary and now a proud alumna of our Urban Ultra Poor Program, Makkabi’s resilience stood out to our field team. To help her expand her toy-selling business and improve her mobility, we provided her with a pushcart—giving her the boost she needed to grow her venture independently. Hear directly from her about her journey in our #EntrepreneursYouDoNotKnow episode 6! #entrepreneursofbangalore #resourcemobilisation

Did you know you could be sponsoring a child's education for an entire YEAR for just 12,000/- INR through our Academic Adoption Programme? Shoba Menon, CEO of Equity Group of Companies, has been a proud sponsor of Parinaam Foundation's children since 2008. Today, the girls she sponsored—once just 5 or 6 years old—are pursuing their dreams in nursing and fashion designing. Sobha is incredibly proud of their achievements and urges more people to step forward and sponsor girl child education, helping turn even more dreams into reality. 🌸🎓 If you happen to be even remotely curious about how the programme runs, visit this link: https://lnkd.in/gwDJVZyj to know more, or just drop us an email at communications@parinaam.org! #academicadoption #sponsoreducation #sponsorachild

The beautiful thing about working in the social sector are the inspiring stories of people we support — the ultra-poor — and their little victories in their grand march towards exiting poverty. Usually we share stories of their courage, endeavour and enterprise in our communication. But starting today, we also wish to share with you a new set of stories. Stories of the people behind the scenes, stories about people who support Parinaam and help us help the ultra-poor. In today's Goodhearts episode, we present you one of our longest standing partners, HSBC India. Our deepest thanks go to Aloka Majumdar -- MD, Global Head of Philanthropy at HSBC India, and the entire HSBC team for their unwavering support since 2013. There’s always a group of wide-eyed, curious children at every school/public library waiting to get their hands on books. And there’s nothing like the joy of someone ensuring that these bookshelves are always stocked for them. On that note, we present someone very kind from Pratham Books, who makes sure these wonderful books reach children across schools in Bangalore. We heartily thank Ankura Ranade for taking up the wonderful initiative of distributing books and keeping the love for reading alive :)

Before joining Parinaam, Hanumathi and her husband worked as laborers, earning a modest income of Rs. 8,000 per month. With our team’s guidance, Hanumathi transitioned from labor work, where she earned ₹8,000 a month, to a fulfilling role as a housemaid, now earning ₹15,000 monthly. This change has brought significant improvements to their financial stability. Their son, Hanumesh, started his education at a government school, but with Parinaam's assistance, he gained admission to Kids Global Private School. His hard work paid off as he achieved an impressive 85% in his 10th grade and continued to excel, scoring 87% in PUC. Now in his first year of B.Com. at Lowery College, Hanumesh is on a promising path. Parinaam Foundation is proud to play a part in this transformative journey, helping families shape their futures for the better. If you believe in creating positive change, join us at Parinaam Foundation and be a part of this inspiring journey! #ParinaamFoundation #EmpoweringChange#TransformingLives #EducationMatters #LivelihoodSupport#BrightFutures #CommunityImpact
