AI is to education, what smartphone is to a landline When we started PW (PhysicsWallah), our goal was simple: to make quality education affordable and accessible to every student, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Taking education online became our first big leap towards breaking the first barrier - of access. But as we grew, we realised that just providing access to quality education wasn’t enough. We wanted to help change how students learn, to make it more personal, meaningful, and impactful. And this need drove us to our current mission— to use technology, especially AI, to take learning to the next level. Imagine a live online class where students can instantly get their queries resolved using a doubt-solving tool - like a main teacher and a shadow teacher, only the latter is an AI tool! The same tool analyzes and summarises recurring doubts and in the same class, tells the teacher which part of the lecture triggered most doubts. The students get their doubts solved and teachers get instant updates allowing them to address commonly misunderstood concepts - all in a live class! This is possible and it’s what PW’s Smart Doubt Engine aims to achieve. Our relationship with AI doesn’t stop here. AI Guru, AI Sahayak, and AI Grader are some of the products developed by PW. The theme for International Day of Education is AI and education. Teacher support, personalised learning, data-driven insights, automated grading and more - the use cases of AI in education are endless. From Red Tape to Red Carpet: How Policy Can Unleash India's Startup Potential. India is fast emerging as a global hub for entrepreneurship, boasting the third-largest pool of unicorn start-ups in the world. One of the most significant developments in this space has been the reform in Angel Tax, set to be implemented in FY 25-26. This move addresses a key bottleneck that dampened investment inflows. By removing it, the government has paved the way for start-ups to scale operations, attract foreign investments, and truly thrive. On the regulatory and financial front, the government has introduced a host of incentives, tax holidays, rebates on patent and trademark filings, credit guarantee schemes, and seed funds, to empower start-ups. But as the co-founder of an educational platform, what I find most inspiring are the fundamental efforts to foster a start-up culture. Initiatives like start-up cells and incubators in higher education institutions, Hackathons, innovation cells, and even introducing Entrepreneurship as a subject at the school level are setting the stage for a future-ready generation of innovators and creators. Challenges remain, from access to funding for early-stage start-ups to navigating regulatory hurdles and finding the right talent. Yet, for aspiring and early-stage founders, this is a moment like no other. The start-up ecosystem is poised to play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat. What excites you most about the future of the Indian startup ecosystem?

Parde Ke Peeche Waale Superstars!!! Startup Founders ka toh bahut naam hota hai. Limelight, awards, interviews – sab milte hain. Hume bhi mila — Entrepreneur of the Year, Ed-tech CEO of the Year. Lekin parde ke aage dikhne waale superstar ke saath  jo parde ke peeche se apni mehnat, dedication aur intent se ek company ko successful banate hai. Aaj ka din unhe dedicate karta hoon — Startups ke asli backbone: THE TEAM. ❤️ Team,  jo apni life aur personal priorities ko side karte hain, sirf isliye kyunki kaam unka passion ban jata hai. Deadlines, meetings, challenges – sabke beech bhi wo dil aur dimag laga ke solutions dhundhte hai. Founder ko awards milte hain, company ko fame milta hai, par team ke bina ye impossible hai. Hum apne personal experience se bol rahe hai—meri team ne Physics Wallah ko Physics Wallah banaya hai. “If startups are the backbone of innovation, then teams are the backbone of every startup” Aajkal, entrepreneurship ek ‘cool factor’ ban gaya hai. Har koi entrepreneur banna chahta hai.  Par is duniya ke peeche ek harsh reality hai – ghar ki zimmedari sambhalna, paisa kamana. Har koi ek idea par lakhon ka risk nahi le sakta, kyu ki unke upar responibilites hai. Lekin iska matlab yeh nahi ki jo entrepreneurship nahi choose karte, wo driven nahi hote, ya life mein kuch bada nahi kar rahe hote. “Respect un logon ke liye jo apne job, responsibilities, aur family ke liye apna best dete hai” Mere ghar ki responsibility meri didi sambhalti hain. Unhone entrepreneurship nahi choose ki, par woh apne life mein win kar rahi hain. Apni job me apna 100% dete hai. Maa ke saath time spend karti hain, unka khayal rakhti hain. Hum kabhi-kabhi jealous ho jate hain-  ki hum gharwalo k sath itna time spent nahi kar pate.  Ek message k sath is post ko end karte hai, jo mai har young entrepreneur ko dena chahunga, Team banate waqt: Look for skills over degrees, aur isse bhi important-  look for intent over skills. Ek startup ki strength uski team ka josh, vision aur intent hoti hai – not just their CV. Agar tumhare paas sahi log hain, tum kisi bhi problem ka solution nikaal sakte ho. Jo apke saath, aapke sapne mein invest karte hain, woh apke real partners hain. Aaj main apne Physics Wallah ki team, mere sare PWians ko thank you bolna chahta hu. Aap log superstars ho.
