🌟 The 6th Digital Citizen Summit (DCS) 2024 Attended the 6th Digital Citizen Summit at T-Hub on November 15th and 16th, 2024, and it was a great experience where I interacted with incredible minds. Day One Highlights: The day started with exploring the exhibitor booths, where I had insightful conversations: - At the Digital Swaraj Fellowship program, I learned about grassroots efforts to promote digital literacy. - Ashhar Farhan from Lamakaan Amateur Radio Club demonstrated how to build a 2G network for intra-community communication, which was a real eye-opener. - Nilay Shah from Software Freedom Law Center, India (SFLC.in) shared ideas on digital freedom in India, emphasizing the role of FOSS, AI, and cybersecurity in creating private, inclusive spaces. - Representatives from IEEE (Bolo Community Reach) explained their initiatives to improve community connectivity. - The team from Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP) sparked discussions about how policies shape digital adoption. - The people from Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) inspired me with their work empowering women in rural areas. - I also met representatives from Suarise (indonesia), whose projects focused on accessibility and inclusion for the blind and differently-abled. - Finally, the team from AI Planet introduced their vision of an AI chatbot for educational institutions, which resonated with my interests. Moving on, I attended two sessions on Day One: 1. AI Usage by NGOs in India: A Deployment Framework by CNX. It was insightful to learn how rural people face challenges in education, hygiene, and connectivity, and how CNX and DEF tackle these issues. 2. AI and Public Policy hosted by Centre for Development Policy and Practice, where I understood the importance of ethical AI implementation to drive inclusive policies and public benefits. Day Two Highlights: The second day began with a Lightning Session on Uli, led by Kaustubha K. Later, I joined the session on AI for Social Good: Insights from the Just AI Awards, hosted by Arpita Kanjilal, PhD , which gave AI-driven solutions addressing societal challenges. The speakers were Chanukya Patnaik founder of AI Planet, Aindriya Barua founder of ShhorAI, Naveen Singh founder of PhyFarm, Atharva Joshi from Civis. The final session was highly interactive, and explained how AI can drive meaningful social impact. We even had a group discussion on a problem statement: "What are the 5 key things that can help in AI literacy curriculum". It was great connecting and discussing with Shruti Narayan. Attending #DCS2024 with my e - Designing and Marketing fam (Yasasvi Mandapati, SAI CHARAN, Sathvika Kanaparthi, Pavan G.) was an enriching experience. It was inspiring to see technology being leveraged for social good and community empowerment. Looking forward to more such opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute! 😊 #DCS2024 #DigitalEmpowerment #AIForGood #InclusionThroughTech
