Privileged to have facilitated sessions on Gender Equality and its relevance in Sehat Kendra, as well as a detailed orientation on the MIS system of Sehat Kendra during the two-day 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐮𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 organized for the 𝐍𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 of Sehat Kendras from 20 colleges across Bihar. Population Foundation of India (PFI), in collaboration with the State Health Society, Bihar (SHSB), JEEViKA, and Project Concern International (PCI), convened a strategic planning meeting in Patna to scale up the Family Planning Convergence program. Today's meeting saw insightful discussions led by: Mr. Apollo Purty, State Program Manager, Health & Nutrition, JEEViKA, Mr. Nishant, Deputy Director- Family Planning, SHSB, Ms. Somya, Program Manager- Health & Nutrition, JEEViKA, and Teams from PFI and PCI. Since 2019, PFI has supported SHSB in implementing the JEEViKA pilot across five high-fertility districts—Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, and Sheohar—covering 973 villages and 10 blocks. The upcoming Scaling Up phase envisions to saturate all 30 blocks of these five districts, extending outreach to 3,400+ villages and directly benefiting over 70 lakh people.
