AI: A Game-Changer in Pulmonology Identifying Incidental Pulmonary Nodules (IPNs) early is critical for improving patient outcomes. However, subtle nodules are sometimes missed in traditional CXR reviews. Enter Artificial Intelligence (#AI) – a transformative force in #lungcancer detection. AI-powered algorithms can: - Detect clinically relevant IPNs with unmatched accuracy - Identify nodules missed in up to 70% of radiographs - Enable earlier diagnostic bronchoscopies, accelerating treatment AI doesn’t replace #radiologists or #pulmonologists—it enhances their ability to save lives. By integrating AI into pulmonary workflows, we can reduce delays, optimize diagnosis, and ultimately improve survival rates. What are your thoughts on AI’s role in #lungcancerdetection? Let’s discuss ⬇️ #AIInHealthcare #MedicalInnovation

Qure.ai has been evaluated to INCREASE #TB detection, while SAVING costs as compared to status quo ! The holy grail in any #publichealth initiative. With the BEST #Health #Technology Assessment results among all, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization cleared TB #AI vendors in India. We are extremely grateful for the role Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) plays in ensuring Indians get only safe and effective health solutions, and look forward to joining forces for a #TBMuktBharat. https://lnkd.in/d9bB-rXZ

Every second counts in #strokecare—delays in treatment can cost lives. At World #Stroke Congress 2024, Team Qure.ai, in collaboration with Zeenat Qureshi Stroke Institutes (ZQSI), presented a study demonstrating how #AI can accelerate decision-making for Mechanical Thrombectomy (MT) eligibility using only Non-Contrast CT (NCCT), CT Angiography (CTA), and simple clinical inputs. Key finding: #AI correctly predicted 98% of truly eligible patients, reducing reliance on advanced imaging and enabling faster treatment decisions. This AI-powered approach could be a game-changer for stroke care—facilitating earlier transfers, quicker cath lab activation, and more timely, life-saving treatment. Feb 4 is World Cancer Day. Cancer is personal and we at AstraZeneca believe treatment should be too. Innovative approaches like computational pathology can help predict the right treatment path, and I’ve been encouraged to see recent positive impacts in lung cancer. Aided by artificial intelligence, we are also witnessing significant progress in early diagnosis, particularly in lung cancer screening. As the Lung Ambition Alliance recently shared, an AI-enabled chest X-ray has helped with the early detection of lung cancer in Malaysia. Equitable access to these developments will pave the way to earlier diagnosed cancers that are more efficiently treated, a benefit for patients, societies and health systems. Learn how AstraZeneca is shaping the future of computational pathology in this article by my colleague, Susan Galbraith, EVP, Oncology Haematology R&D. 👇 https://lnkd.in/e62RQX_Q #WorldCancerDay #UnitedByUnique
