𝐀 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞—𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞? It’s heartbreaking that road accidents have become so frequent, they’re brushed off as just another statistic. Yesterday, 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐝 when a driver swerved to avoid a 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 and crashed into his motorcycle on the Mityana-Mubende road in Buganda. Just like that, a family is grieving, a community is mourning, and a life is gone forever. Potholes aren’t harmless cracks; they’re ticking time bombs. Every day they go unfixed is another opportunity for disaster. How many more lives must be sacrificed before authorities treat this as an emergency? Fixing potholes isn’t just about smoother rides; it’s about saving lives. We must demand safer roads before other innocent lives are stolen. #potholes #roadsafety #accidents #savelife #badroads

𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰! 𝐁𝐮𝐭, 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬?? 𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠?? Recently, six young people, including three women, lost their lives in a tragic accident. The reason is literally shocking!! They wanted to overtake another car during a late-night drive. Is this really the cost of a life—a risky decision made in seconds? At 𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐂 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐧, their MUV slammed into a container truck at 100 km/h, leaving no chance of survival. The impact was so severe that the roof of the vehicle was torn off, killing everyone instantly. And, the shocking part is- the 𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬 that could have revealed the accident details weren’t operational due to some ransomware attack. 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 536 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲, 134 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. The government and authorities should ensure that all CCTV cameras are always functional to enhance public safety and aid in investigations when needed. It’s a harsh reminder that reckless driving and poor road conditions have always and will continue claim countless lives. Being responsible behind the wheel isn’t just about protecting yourself; it’s also about ensuring the safety of others on the road. Let’s drive safely, demand better infrastructure, and ensure no family suffers such an irreparable loss again. Everyone deserves safer and better life and roads!! 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬! 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬! Nepal, a land of breathtaking mountains and rich culture, is slowly losing its shine to a heartbreaking reality—frequent road accidents. 😔 As per the 𝐔𝐍 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝, casualties from road crashes increased dramatically from 1,131 in 2008 to 2,789 in 2018, marking a 146.6% rise, and experts warn this could reach 4,500 by 2030-31. The economic loss due to these accidents was estimated at $122.88 million in 2017, around 1.5% of Nepal’s GNP. Recent data reveals that in just seven months (𝐦𝐢𝐝-𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 2023 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐝-𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 2024), 1,303 people lost their lives, while 3,643 were seriously injured, and 15,007 suffered minor injuries. Over the past five years, the death toll has risen to 12,542, with 29,729 severe injuries, bringing the total casualties, including the current year, to a staggering 13,845 lives. This escalating crisis demands urgent intervention to safeguard lives and Nepal’s economic stability. 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦, the lifeblood of Nepal's economy, is at risk too. The recent 𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐛𝐮 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐢, where 27 Indian pilgrims tragically died, is a painful reminder of how poor infrastructure and road safety measures are creating lasting scars. It's heartbreaking to think that the people who came to witness Nepal's beauty ended up staring death in the face instead. 💔 Beautiful destinations deserve safe journeys!! Let’s demand change—because every life matters, and no place as stunning as Nepal deserves to carry the weight of such tragic headlines. 🛤🙏 #roads #accidents #nepal #tourism #roadsafety
