Under the #HSBC-Enabling Digital Solutions to Overcome Digital Inclusion Barriers, Sa-Dhan successfully organised a two-day refresher #training program in Kamrup, Assam, with support from Grameen Development Financial Services and Upfront. Key Highlights: 193 participants enhanced their #digital #literacy and learned safe financial practices. Focus topics included: UPI Apps: PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm Digisathi Safe use of ATMs Do’s and Don’ts for UPI & ATM transactions Benefits of Digital Payments WhatsApp Business Accounts Voice Assistants: Gemini & Google Assistant Fraud Prevention Additionally, 20 impactful Street Plays were conducted in Nadia, West Bengal, and Kamrup, Assam, reaching 1,200+ participants across multiple blocks. These plays creatively spread awareness about digital financial literacy. In this regard, Sa-Dhan organized a #Conclave on Regulatory Compliance in #Microfinance in Lucknow on 18th December 2024. The Conclave was attended by Chief Compliance Officers, Company Secretaries, #MDs, #CEOs of #MFIs, #SFBs and #Banks. About 75 delegates participated in the Conclave. Today, Sa-Dhan, in collaboration with Water.org hosted a kick-off meeting to formally launch the Water Credit Adoption and Development (#WCAD) project with #Micro Finance Institutions and Capital Providers. This initiative aims to enhance access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (#WASH) facilities through microfinance institutions in Eastern and northeastern India. The primary objective of the WCAD program is to reach underserved communities by partnering with #MFIs to provide credit support for establishing essential WASH facilities. Through this program, we aim to provide access to credit and positively impact over 80,000 direct beneficiaries within a span of two years. The event, co-hosted by Sa-Dhan and Water.org, witnessed active participation from a diverse group of MFI partners and capital providers. We are immensely grateful for the collective support of these institutions in launching this impactful initiative and are optimistic about achieving significant success together.
