Our design for the Centre for Excellence envisions a campus that strengthens the Council of Architecture’s presence in southern India. The proposal reflects the Council’s values of inclusivity, sustainability, and the conservation of natural and architectural heritage, while being deeply rooted in the region’s context. Our Vision 🌿 A campus where architecture, landscape, and ecology come together seamlessly to foster education, innovation, and ecological stewardship. Site Development Strategies 🌿 The concept revitalizes natural ecosystems by conserving waterways, enhancing ecological linkages, and integrating circular resource loops. Rainwater harvesting and greywater treatment through constructed wetlands ensure sustainable water management. Programming Strategies 🌿 Thoughtful zoning enhances functionality, with ecological assets shaping natural boundaries. Multi-use spaces are layered to optimize resources, while green infrastructure fosters collaboration and innovation.
