We are delighted to have been recognized at the Targi ENEX exhibition in Kielce, Poland, for our contribution to the Woodland Houses project. By integrating our Home Energy Solution with Samsung Electronics SmartThings, we have enabled the residents of the modern housing development near Warsaw to easily control their energy production, storage and consumption via an app. With this solution, we are taking an important step towards greater sustainability and energy efficiency. Not to be forgotten, the stand team were also delighted to receive the Top Design Award, presented by the trade show's organizers for exceptionally well-designed stands. We are thrilled to announce another future-oriented achievement by SMA Altenso. In the project of Hy2B Wasserstoff GmbH in Pfeffenhausen, Bavaria, the 5 MW alkaline electrolyser is a central component for the production of hydrogen for the operation of public buses in Munich and the surrounding area. The neighbouring hydrogen test, application and certification centre WTAZ and companies in the mobility and energy sectors are also customers for the innovative fuel. The power conversion unit for the electrolysis is provided by SMA. This system solution is compatible with various electrolyser types such as PEM, SOEC and alkaline and is already being used in more than 80 projects worldwide.

Our Data Manager M is now available with enhanced functions for efficiency and security:   ✅ Connects up to 50 devices ✅ Simplified integration ✅ Optimized power management & self-consumption ✅ Complies with international grid integration standards ✅ Enhanced cybersecurity   When it was launched in 2018, the SMA Data Manager M was the first product of the ennexOS software platform.  Setting new standards in energy management for commercial solar systems it has been continuously optimized to meet the growing demands of the energy industry.   A big thank you to the whole team for the successful implementation!

Welcome Olaf! The Supervisory Board of SMA has appointed Olaf Heyden as Chief Transformation Officer (CTrO). The 61-year-old has been leading the group-wide restructuring and transformation program since September 2024. He also assumes the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) with responsibility for Operations, Human Resources and Digitalization. The internationally experienced manager, who was previously responsible for the day-to-day operations of Diebold Nixdorf, will initially hold this position until the second quarter of 2026. Together with Barbara Gregor and Jürgen Reinert, the three-member Managing Board team will continue to drive forward the transformation of the company. With an optimized product portfolio, a new market approach and a strong commitment to service and quality, with the goal to put SMA back on the path to long-term success.

Another important step has been taken in St.Eustatius: The official inauguration of phase 3 of the island's electrification. ☀ 🏝 As a system integrator involved since phase 1, colleagues from SMA Altenso were proud to take part in this event. The PV-Diesel hybrid power plant with battery storage is the largest in the Caribbean to date. It provides 100% renewable energy during the day and stores excess energy in a 16 MWh battery system for continuous power supply. A particular feature is the integration of SMA's advanced Sunny Central Storage solar and battery inverters, which provide black-start capability, grid-forming technology and redundancy services to ensure stability and reliability. Super-fast charging of electric vehicles with solar energy 🌞   Since the end of 2024, this has been possible at the TARO electrolinera service station in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria. Here, you’ll find the Canary Islands' first environmentally friendly charging station, featuring two superchargers that can fully charge up to 4 vehicles in just 15–20 minutes.   What makes this station unique is its complete independence from the power grid. To achieve this, 250 solar panels have been installed on all available roof surfaces, along with batteries offering a capacity of 500 kW.   3 Sunny Tripower CORE1 inverters and 6 Sunny Island X battery inverters ensure efficient energy generation and storage.   A specially developed app enables users—especially businesses—to easily manage and track their charging sessions.
