𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: 𝐀𝐈/𝐌𝐋 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 Imagine a live cricket match broadcast—a highly coordinated effort involving multiple cameras, directors, and real-time decision-making. Now, let’s draw a parallel between this process and how AI/ML operates in a modern telecom network 𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐎𝐒𝐒/𝐁𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬) In a live cricket match, the Director plays a crucial role in managing different camera feeds, deciding which angle to show, and ensuring smooth transitions for the viewers. Similarly, in telecom networks, the OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems) handle network operations, customer billing, service activation, and overall management Just as the Director ensures the best possible viewing experience, OSS/BSS ensures efficient network operations and customer service The Director makes real-time decisions based on inputs from multiple sources, just like OSS/BSS processes data from across the telecom network to optimize performance 𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐫 (𝐀𝐈/𝐌𝐋 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫) The Vision Mixer is the tool used by the director to seamlessly switch between camera angles, ensuring that the most relevant and engaging footage is displayed at the right time. This is analogous to an AI/ML-based Orchestrator in a telecom network AI-driven orchestrators dynamically manage network resources, optimize traffic flow, and ensure seamless connectivity—just like a vision mixer optimizes the viewing experience AI continuously analyzes data to determine the best network routes, bandwidth allocation, and predictive maintenance strategies, similar to how a vision mixer selects the best angle for the broadcast 𝟑. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬 (𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 & 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬) A cricket match is captured through multiple cameras, each positioned at different locations—pitch-side, boundary, drone, and slow-motion replay cameras. These cameras provide real-time data that the director and vision mixer use to create a seamless broadcast experience In the telecom world, sensors and network touchpoints (such as cell towers, IoT devices, and base stations) act as these cameras. Cameras capture different angles of the match, while sensors collect real-time network data, including traffic, signal strength, and congestion. Just as cameras enable a director to understand match dynamics, network sensors provide AI/ML systems with insights into network performance and customer behavior 𝟒. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 – 𝟒𝐆/𝟓𝐆) In a cricket broadcast, all camera feeds travel through fiber-optic cables, satellite uplinks, and wireless links to reach the studio and then get transmitted to viewers globally. Similarly, in telecom, data is transmitted over 4G/5G networks, forming the backbone of digital connectivity -Sanjay Kumar ↗️
