About us
The Naz Foundation (India) Trust is a New Delhi-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working on HIV/AIDS and sexual health issues since 1994. Through the years, Naz has evolved to implement a holistic approach for combating HIV, involving prevention as well as treatment. Our focus is on reaching out to marginalized populations infected or affected by HIV to help reduce stigma, improve health, and empower families. We also aim to sensitize the general population to the prevalence of HIV, and to highlight issues related to sexuality and sexual health. We believe in using these key approaches in the battle against HIV/AIDS in India: - rights-based approach to raising awareness - unbiased, factual information on HIV and sexual health - quality care and support to people living with HIV Naz's programs include: - a Care Home for 17 orphaned children living with HIV, the first in North India - a Home-based Care Program, providing support to families living with and affected by HIV/AIDs, through medical and nursing care, psychosocial support, legal assistance and capacity-building lessons - Capacity Building and Training Workshops for individuals and organisations on HIV/AIDS, sex and sexuality, and rights-based care giving - Goal, a girls' empowerment programme implemented in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai that uses sports and life skills education to provide opportunities for at-risk adolescent girls throughout India - Counseling, Outreach, Medical Treatment, and Legal Services to the LGBT community - Advocacy and Political Action supporting equal rights and protection for the LGBT community and those living with HIV/AIDS Naz is a registered charitable trust and is registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and can receive funds from both inside India and abroad. Our Care Home is supported primarily through donations. We hope that you will become part of our donor community and support our children with a financial contribution or in-kind.

Queer women, transmasculine folks, and gay men are often left out of conversations about HPV, despite being at risk. Lack of awareness and healthcare barriers make prevention even harder. 🩺 Protect yourself: Get screened, get vaccinated, and stay informed. 📢 Naz is conducting an HPV vaccine drive with limited slots for vulnerable communities—reach out to secure a spot! 💙 Plus, our Naz Clinic is open for free consultations every Wednesday & Saturday, 1–4 PM. . . #nazfoundation #nazindia #queerindia #lgbtqindia #lgbtqia #hpv #hpvawareness #cancerprevention

Qare Connect 10.0 – January 2025: A focused discussion on ‘Intersectionality in Therapy.’ This session will explore the complexities of identity, caste, and resilience in the therapeutic context, offering an opportunity for professionals to reflect on how these factors shape our practice. Together, we’ll define what it means to be an intersectionality-informed therapist and engage in meaningful dialogue to enhance our work. About the Facilitators: Meenal Solanki is a Counselling Psychologist and co-founder of Mann Conversations, specializing in trauma, intersectionality, and chronic illness. Her research focuses on the impact of intersectionality on mental health, resilience in Indian women, and queer adults' mental health. Medha Singh (She/her) is a counselling psychologist whose work is informed by a social justice and queer feminist lens. She specializes in exploring life experiences, attachment patterns, and socio-political contexts, grounded in intersectionality, feminism, trauma, caste, and queer-affirmative perspectives. Join us for a chance to learn, share, and grow in a supportive and inclusive environment. 🗓 Date: 29th January 2025, Wednesday ⏰ Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM 📍 Venue: New Delhi LGBTQIA+ Centre, A-86, East of Kailash, New Delhi-110065 Let’s come together to connect, reflect, and create meaning through our stories.
