Last evening, at Mumbai Gets The/Nudge, changemakers from different fields came together to talk about what it really takes to drive meaningful change. The evening began with Arun Seth’s (ex-chairman, British Telecom and Alcatel Lucent) welcome address followed by a stirring tribute to Late Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata by Sanjiv Mehta (Ex-Chair/CEO Hindustan Unilever)- a moment to reflect on how a single vision can spark opportunities for so many. Dr. RS Sharma (Ex-CEO NHA & UIDAI, Ex-Chairman TRAI) shared his take on collaboration—how NGOs and the government working together can achieve remarkable things. The government has scale and resources; the private sector brings speed and passion. Together, they make things happen. A fireside chat with our program participants from Jharkhand brought stories of true grit and economic empowerment and later, in a session moderated by Vikas Agnihotri (Ex-SoftBank Operating Partner), social entrepreneurs shared how they’re creating livelihoods and solving real problems.
