About us

The Owl House is an initiative by Abletree Foundation a Section-8 nonprofit organization located in the village of Aldona, Goa, India. Our mission is to support individuals and families affected by Autism and other neurological conditions. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that addresses the diverse needs of neurodiverse individuals, helping them lead more meaningful and productive lives. As part of a Section 8 not-for-profit organization, we specialize in working with neurodiverse individuals and their families. Our core focus is on empowering individuals with special needs to become integrated members of the community, while simultaneously working with the community to create more work opportunities, thereby promoting better and more meaningful lives for all.

This Fellowship aims to establish a world-class support system for the neurodiverse population in India through a comprehensive 14-month initiative. The fellows will undergo rigorous hands-on training and fieldwork in diverse settings such as schools, vocational centers, and homes, with each receiving a monthly stipend of 15,000 rupees. The program is designed to equip fellows with the skills and confidence to become effective Intervention Specialists, addressing a significant societal need and contributing to a more inclusive and supportive environment for neurodiverse individuals in India. The Owl House is a non-profit organisation that works with neurodiverse adults to provide them with skill training and employment training. -Your role as a volunteer will be to support the educators in conducting sessions and other activities with the neurodiverse students. -Your role as an intern will be to assist in various activities ranging from advocacy, fundraising, education and documentation. Sethu , Google , Goa University , National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), India were key hosts of this symposium and we had speakers & and organisations from various parts of the country in this event.
