I am happy to share that UC Inclusive Credit Pvt, Ltd. (UCIC), an NBFC founded by Unitus Capital group, focused on lending to early-stage corporates in the impact sector has approved its audited results for FY 23-24. UCIC closed the year with an AUM of ~Rs.783 crore that translates to a growth of 52.5% vis a vis FY 23. The last 5 years CAGR of AUM is ~15x. The profit after tax stood at Rs. 18 crore resulting in an after-tax ROA of 3.4%. The portfolio quality continues to be strong with both Gross and Net NPA at 0%. .UCIC raised its series A round of ~Rs. 74 crore during FY 24 led by Insitor Impact Asia, taking the networth to just under Rs. 200 Crores as of March 31, 2024. UCIC is blessed to have support of 33 lenders including SIDBI, SBI, Indian Bank, Federal Bank, DCB Bank, Bandhan Bank, IndusInd Bank, IDFC First Bank, RBL Bank, State Bank of Mauritius, AU SFB, Jana SFB, Ujjivan SFB, ESAF SFB and Suryoday SFB, International lenders like DFC (erstwhile OPIC), MSDF, Rabo Foundation, reputed NBFCs like MAS, Maanaveeya, Nabsamruddhi, Nabkisan, Tata Capital, A K Capital, Vivriti, Chola, Credit Saison and Incred. UCIC boasts of a highly professional Board led by Founder Chairman Narayan Ramachandran with other team members being Eric Savage, Abhijit Ray (both Co-Founders of Unitus Capital) alongside two independent directors Ms. Sandhya Vasudevan and Ms. Padmaja Nair. UCIC disbursed ~Rs.2400 crore to 266 early-stage companies over the last 5 years and are categorized as a 2x company.
