Please join us in congratulating Sunish Jauhari, President, Vitamin Angels India, for winning the Social Impact Leader award at the BW Businessworld Social Impact Summit 2024. Over his decades-long career, Sunish has led various initiatives in the areas of business consulting, social entrepreneurship, public safety, and youth development. He developed interest in social development out of deep personal experiences in early 2000s, co-creating social initiatives. He made a full-time shift to the social impact sector in 2011, joining Ashoka, the world’s largest organization of social entrepreneurs working in the areas of affordable housing and building the field of social entrepreneurship. Sunish serves as an Advisor on a few nonprofit boards, is a co-lead at Catalyst2030 an initiative to accelerate achievement of SDGs, and mentors an organisation in the area of road safety, which he had set up in 2013. This is what led to Sunish making it to the list of Social Impact Leaders and Changemakers 2024. Congratulations, Sunish! . . . . #award #recognition #CSR #leadership #impact #LeadersOfChange #changemakers #nutrition #malnutrition #Poshan #PoshanAbhiyaan #health #healthcare #India

Delighted on this recognition by BW Disrupt BW Businessworld for my journey in social impact! But to be honest, any problem I have worked on so far, is far from getting solved. Just a realisation that we are so small as one organisation and one individual - and just that one bit - an idea, innovation, support to the system, our human capital - that we bring, adds to the number of problem-solvers in this world! So, yes small, but not insignificant! And most importantly, one is a function and factor of one’s team - our work at Vitamin Angels India is the sum total of the 20 odd phenomenal people and their everyday effort, that provides nutrition support to over 6 million infants and young children every year! I receive this for and on behalf of every single person in my team! Thank you 🙏❤️ to every co-passenger I traveled with! And everyone who has shown faith and support to our work!! There’s such a fatigue with panels and conversations, but this was one with a difference… refreshing, to begin with! Five young people talked eloquently about GenZ and social change. They ranged from a creator and actor, the youngest advisor to the multilateral aid agencies, thru to one passionate about educating and sensitising children and adolescents about sexuality and menstrual health. Seasoned professionals today need to recognise that the legacy of climate, inequity and inequality in the society isn’t particularly the one to be proud of. Neither the institutional and societal capacity we have created so far is going to stay relevant beyond 2 generations. Solutions for the future need to be created by and with the “future” - young people. Those who have created and run impactful organisations in social impact must have young people integral to their strategy, no matter what problems they are attempting to solve. That might make their organisations “future-proof”. #youth #socialimpact #society #genz Aashish Beergi Anoushka Sinha,FRSA Rohit Kumar Nishita Sharma Sejal Kumar Aradhana Rai Gupta #BWSocialImpact

It’s #ThrowbackTime! We’re looking back at our team members enthusiasm to equip themselves with knowledge to better serve the communities we impact. To build their capacities and knowledge, our team members Gaurav Chauhan, Program Manager, and Swapan Kumar Das, Senior State Program Officer, participated in the 11th International short course on ‘Understanding Public Health Nutrition: Towards Policy and Action’ organized by the Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). The three-day course touched upon topics such as #nutrition, maternal nutrition, #malnutrition, diet and non-communicable diseases, policy research, funding, and how to interpret a research paper, among others. “It was a great learning experience and helped build knowledge, awareness, skill, attitude, and capacity on the subject matter, which is relevant to the work that we do at Vitamin Angels,” Swapan said after attending the workshop. As we continually sharpen our work to reach more mothers and #children in hard-to-reach and remote places in India with essential minerals and #vitamins, we are on the lookout for like-minded partners who believe in the mission of an equitable world and support our work. Talk to us and let’s find ways to build a healthier generation of young children across the country. . . . . #capacitybuilding #workshop #learninganddevelopment #support #leadership #healthcare #India #Poshan #PoshanAbhiyaan #NutritionForAll
