While the future of Indian trade looks bright, there are potential challenges that may create friction for #tradeflow, including geopolitical and trade bottlenecks, and elections in America and beyond where the territory for trade protectionism is fertile ground. Indian trade fortunately remains optimistic, for reasons such as the progress on several new #freetradeagreements (FTAs), the solidifying influence of the #BRICS, the expansion of regional initiatives like the India-Middle East Trade Corridor, and the growing importance of India-GCC trade flows. With events across global trade and affairs likely to challenge and strengthen India’s position in the years ahead, this closing session gathered thought leaders to examine the potential impact of evolving trade and political trends on Indian traders. The seasoned panel during GTR India discussed how banks, policymakers and corporates can underline national leadership on the world stage, the key long-term trade and cooperation opportunities for stakeholders, and how India can seize on these to demonstrate that ‘the future is India’. 🎙️Sanjay Desai (Supply Technologies) 🎙️Madhur Sharma (Louis Dreyfus Company) 🎙️Hicham El Khaoudy (First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) 🎙️Deepa Kumar (S&P Global Market Intelligence) 🎙️Aditya Bansal (KEC International Ltd.)
