Drink coffee ☕ pay it forward ☸ go to Bangalore 🇮🇳 repeat 💫 ! I had a wonderful meeting with Yasmin Lukatz, which brought back memories of when we first met six years ago at a meetup. Yasmin was kind enough to sit next to me and offer me a coffee.  When I offered to pay, she graciously insisted and told me to "pay it forward."  The very next day, inspired by her kindness, I bought a coffee for a startup founder I met and sent Yasmin a note to let her know I had paid it forward. Six years later, when I learned that Yasmin collects Starbucks cups, I was determined to find one she didn’t have—a challenging task given her extensive collection! Luckily, I was invited to speak at the @IGIC2024 conference in Bangalore, India. It was an incredible experience from which I learned a lot about opportunities in India, and I had the chance to bring Yasmin a unique cup from there. The video attached talks about this experience (in Hebrew—sorry for my English-speaking friends). I mentioned to Yasmin that I hope she will join me at the 4th conference in Bangalore next year Smadja & Smadja. The smart Lotem Segal wrote to me that now, at every meetup she attends, she will try to create the same fairy-tale story. Reflecting on these moments, I'm reminded of how small acts of kindness can create good karma and lasting connections. Thank you Yasmin for this fairy-tale story 🧚♀️

I started a panel at India Global Innovation Connect 2024 with a bit of controversy In a panel of accomplished operators from Switzerland and Israel, I claimed that the best medical AI in the world will be build in India for India and for the world. By the end of the discussion, I dare say they agreed with me. India has incredible advantages when it comes to the most important technology in medicine since the invention of the MRI: ✅ Access to massive Volume and Variety of Data ✅ Incredible Talent pool in Biomedical, Data Science and ofcourse, Clinical (the best doctors in the world mostly studied here 😁) ✅ A base of healthcare establishments that are actually ready to try groundbreaking innovations. If you’re building in the space of AI in Healthcare, my advice : have a chat with Bargava Subramanian, Kirthiraj Yuvaraj or Kishore Prasath Venkatesh first. You’ll probably realise that the opportunity is bigger than you thought :)
