AbstractAbstract
[en] The temperature dependence of dielectric properties in polyethylene was measured in the frequency range from 10 to 105 Hz. The frequency dependence of the complex impedance in the complex plane could be fitted by semicircles. The system could be represented by an equivalent circuit of a bulk resistance in series with parallel surface resistance-capacitance combination. The relaxation time, has been evaluated from experimental results. Results reveal that the temperature dependence, is a thermally activated process

AbstractAbstract
[en] An epoxy acrylate was synthesized from epoxidized soybean oil (ESOL) by using acrylic acid monomer. Triethyl amine (TEA) and hydroquinone were used as catalyst and inhibitor respectively. The epoxidized soybean oil acrylate (ESOLA) is done by introducing acrylic acid into oxirane groups of the epoxidized oil (ESOL). This reaction was confirmed by analytical data in terms of oxirane oxygen content, acid value, viscosity and spectroscopically analysis

AbstractAbstract
[en] The aqueous polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) was carried out in absence and presence of Eucalyptol sawdust (SD) using sodium bisulphite as an initiator. The data showed that the SD extractives had an inhibiting effect on the polymerization rate of MMA. The rate was found to increase considerably in the presence of solvent pre-extracted SD and was further increased with water and alkali treatment of SD

AbstractAbstract
[en] Investigation of Thermally Stimulated Depolarization Current (TSDC) using the dipole-dipole interaction model which was proposed by the authors in previous work is revisited in this work to show the assumptions and mathematical background of the model. Dipole-dipole interaction model describe the (TSDC) peak successfully since it was made and it gives a significant peak parameters (i.e. Activation energy Ε and the pre-exponential factor τ in addition to the dipole-dipole interaction strength parameter Ρ. Application of this model to determine the peak parameters of different polymer and polymer blends were presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] The viscosity behavior of dilute urea solution of dimethylformamide (Dmf) of Polystyrene-Poly(vinylidene fluoride) has been studied at 25 degree C. The results show that the polymer mixtures are incompatible in DMF solution in the absence of urea. The influence of urea addition on the degree of compatibility of the polymer mixture has been studied in terms of the compatibility parameters (A6/M, kbm , A [77] ,a and /?) respectively

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of high electric field on the phase transition in nylon 12 was Studied. Ordering of the crystalline-amorphous structure is achieved.Changes in the crystal structure induced by the polarizing electric field were investigated using optical microscope, x-ray and DSC techniques. The analysis of the results revealed that the electric field enhance the growth of the crystalline regions and hence has principle effects on the volume fraction of the crystalline phase. Initial results from oriented crystallization were presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] Positron annihilation lifetime is one of the most important nuclear techniques used in material science (defect formation and migration). Positron lifetime (τ) measurements are performed to study defect annealing in AlSiio.9 Mgo.i 7810.06 casting Alloys during isochronal and isothermal heat treatment. Two stages during isochronal treatment has been observed, one for point defects recovery and the other for dislocation. Isothermal annealing at temperature 553, 583, 613 and 643 K was performed to determine the activation energy which calculated as 0.86 ± 0.12 eV

AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of three different types of Furan polymers on the porosity, mechanical properties, mechanism of hydration and microstructure of Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) pastes was investigated. The results showed that mixing the OPC with Furan polymers, the standard water of consistency of the different cement pastes decreases and therefore the setting times (initial and final) are shortened. The total porosity of the hardened cement pastes decreased, while the mechanical properties improved and enhanced at all curing ages of hydration compared with those of the pure OPC pastes. The hydration process with Furan polymers proceeded according to the following decreasing order: F.ac. > F.ph. > F.alc. > OPC

AbstractAbstract
[en] A C dark Current measurements of nickel phthalocyanine thin films using ohmic gold electrodes are investigated in the frequency range 30-10 Hz and within the temperature range 295-385 K. The A C conductivity as D Ac is found to vary as within the index s < 1, indicating a dominant hopping process at low temperatures. From the temperature dependence of A C conductivity, free carrier conduction with mean activation energy of 0.31 eV is observed at higher temperatures. Capacitance and loss tangent are found to be decreased with increasing frequency and increase with increasing temperature. Such characteristics are found to be in good qualitative agreement with existing equivalent circuit model assuming ohmic contacts
