[en] An assessment of environment condition on the territory of the PSRER was made with the help of Allium test. The mitotic index and the frequency of chromosomal aberrations were calculated with the help of an ana-telophase method of analysis. As part of research all types of chromosomal aberrations were registered. As a result of research it has been found out that chronically increased background radiation leads to the increase of the number of cells with abnormal cell division. (authors)
