AbstractAbstract
[en] Penetrability is computed for a double-hump potential barrier of Strutinsky type, where both incident and reflected waves in the first well are taken into consideration to include the pre-fission state of a nucleus. Results are discussed and comparison is made with the work of Cramer and Nix

AbstractAbstract
[en] Analytical expressions for penetration through a three-peaks barrier are obtained in the semiclassical approximation. These expressions may be used at the incident particle energies higher, as well as lower than barrier height. For the 234Th nucleus the penetrability is given, calculated for a three-peaks fission barrier, approximated by three crossed parabolas

[en] The fission barrier parameter (FBP) library, which is a sub-library of Chinese Evaluated Nuclear Parameter library (CENPL), stores various popular used fission barrier parameters from different historical period, and could retrieve the required fission barrier parameters by using the management retrieval code system of the FBP sub-library. The function, feature and operation instruction of the code system are described briefly

AbstractAbstract
[en] The transmission of a potential barrier of N bumps and arbitrary form is studied in the quasiclassical approximation. Analytical expressions for the transmission coefficient Psub(N) and the reflexion coefficient Rsub(N) are derived for identical barriers. The mean value of the transmissions coefficient Psub(N) is calculated as a function of energy

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simplified quantum-mechanical treatment is presented for describing the dynamics of nuclear fission. The collective Hamiltonian is assumed to be two dimensional and the reduced mass is allowed to vary with the co-ordinates. The corresponding scattering problem can be cast into a system of coupled one-dimensional equations after a proper transformation of the co-ordinates. Such system of coupled equations can be decoupled by replacing the coupling matrix elements by a non-local interaction, which can be rendered local after employing the effective mass approximation. As a consequence this gives rise to an effective potential barrier which, in general, involves intermediate potential wells that can accommodate quasi-bound states. Parameterization of such multi-humped barrier is made in terms of Wood-Saxon functions, which not only satisfy the physical requirements, but also amenable to analytic solutions. The corresponding penetrability factor shows resonance structure which is superimposed to a slowly varying rounded step function. The resonance indicate the quasibound states that are set up in the intermediate wells, and their widths are inversely proportional to the half life times of the parent nucleus that is trapped in such resonant states
