AbstractAbstract
[en] The level lifetimes have been measured for a shears band of 108Cd that exhibits band crossing. The observed level energies and B(M1) rates have been successfully described by a semiclassical geometric model based on shear mechanism. In this geometric model, the band crossing in the shears band has been described as the reopening of the angle between the blades of a shear.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The evaluation of the reaction (pn) cross sections and protons scattering as well as the quantitative evaluation of the reaction (pn) resonance cross sections on the 108Cd nucleus in the Ep = 6-8 MeV area are presented. The CINDY program with its certain modifications is applied. Four channels: (pn), (pp), (pα) and (pγ) were accounted for by the calculation. The choice of the optical potential parameters values, the parameters characterizing the levels density and the choice of the Jπ levels of the finite nuclei in the 108Cd + p(108In, 108Cd, 10'5Ag, 109In) reactions and determination of the R normalizing coefficients values are of great importance in the calculations

AbstractAbstract
[en] The recently measured lower limit on the transition quadrupole moment Qt of a strongly deformed band in 108Cd is compatible with the value suggested by a simple analytic formula deduced from a binary cluster model. This model indicates that such large deformations should be widespread in the A∼110 region

AbstractAbstract
[en] Atomic nuclei are known to exhibit changes of their energy levels and electromagnetic transition rates among them when the numbers of protons (or neutrons) are modified, resulting in the shape transition from one kind of collective behavior to another. Cadmium isotopes are good examples of quadrupole vibration nuclei. However, during the last few years, new experimental data and calculations have led to a modified picture on these nuclei

AbstractAbstract
[en] The 108Cd and 106Cd isotopes have been studied from the β+/EC decay of 108In and 106In, with the on-line ISOCELE separator facilities. γ-rays, conversion electrons, γ-γ-t and e--γ-t coincidence measurements have been performed. Level schemes of 108Cd and 106Cd have been deduced from our results. A O+ level has been unambiguously established at 1.913 MeV in 106Cd. The energies and branching ratios are discussed in terms of vibrator + particles approach, interacting boson approximation and rotor + quasi-particles model. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The search for rare shape-phase transition in hot and rotating nuclei is one of the very active field in nuclear physics research. According to universally known features of the evolution of equilibrium shapes with temperature and spin, heating a deformed nonrotating nucleus leads to a shape transition from deformed to spherical at a certain temperature. At high temperatures T≅ 2 MeV, the shell effects melt and the nucleus resembles a classical liquid drop. Rotation of the hot nucleus generates an oblate shape rotating noncollectively. But it has been shown by A. Goodman that nuclei with two critical temperatures can rotate with a rare non-collective prolate shape phase which has been caused directly by rotation at angular momentum values around (5-30h) which creates a residual quantum shell effect as shown by A. L. Goodman. Search for such exotic shape-phase around Z = 50 region is the aim of present work. We consider N = 60 isotones 108Cd, 109In, 110Sn
