AbstractAbstract
[en] Connections between charge balance functions, charge fluctuations, and correlations are presented. It is shown that charge fluctuations can be directly expressed in terms of balance functions under certain assumptions. The distortion of charge balance functions due to experimental acceptance is discussed and the effects of identical boson interference is illustrated with a simple model

AbstractAbstract
[en] For infinite quantum systems a family of dissipative maps satisfying the condition of detailed balance is constructed. We conjecture that these maps provide a new way of characterizing the equilibrium states. We prove the conjecture for finite systems and for the infinite free Fermion gas

AbstractAbstract
[en] An essentially self-contained account is given of some general structural properties of the dynamics of quantum open Markovian systems. Some recent results regarding the problem of the classification of quantum Markovian master equations and the limiting conditions under which the dynamical evolution of a quantum open system obeys an exact semigroup law (weak coupling limit and singular coupling limit are reviewed). A general form of quantum detailed balance and its relation to thermal relaxation and to microreversibility is discussed

[en] A model of triangulated random surfaces which is the discrete analogue of the Polyakov string is considered in the work. An algorithm is proposed which enables one to study the model by means of the Monte Carlo method in the grand canonical ensemble. Preliminary results are presented on the evaluation of the critical index γ

AbstractAbstract
[en] An exact formulation of the impulse approach (IA), or quantum-mechanical spectator model, is applied to atom-diatom collisions. Results are compared with previous work on the IA, which has always involved the peaking approximation (PA). The PA is seen to overestimate (underestimate) differential cross sections for processes involving projectile atom energy loss (gain). The internal consistency of the IA is explored by subjecting it to semidetailed balancing. For small scattering angles the IA is seen to be an inadequate theory, probably due to the neglect of double- and higher-collision terms in the multiple-collision expansion of the three-body T matrix. For large scattering angles, where the IA does appear to describe the scattering process accurately, the exact calculation is shown to give the same results as when only the energy-conserving on-the-energy-shell two-body processes are considered. An accurate approximation method is also developed for rapid computation of inelastic differential cross sections. Finally, the calculated results are compared with the experimental measurements, and the need to explore two-body potentials more complicated than the hard-core potential is pointed out

AbstractAbstract
[en] The conclusions on the violations of some of the basic principles of statistical mechanics and physical kinetics - reported by Mayorov, Tkachev, and Yakovlenko (MTY) - are shown to be insufficiently substantiated. MTY have drawn these conclusions from the results of their computer experiment with a classical Coulomb plasma; however, these data are found to admit an alternative interpretation. The alleged necessity to reject the detailed balancing principle is shown not to be an inevitable consequence of the MTY simulation results; this necessity is also discarded by the microscopic process analysis in the present study. Contrary to the MTY implicit assumption, the behaviour of the considered plasma in substantially dependent on near-wall phenomena. 7 refs., 1 fig

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper a simple detailed balance model for the description of pionic radioactivity is proposed. Then, an extraordinary sensitivity of the pionic yield Γπ0/ΓSF to the nuclear temperature T as well as an extremely low value of the average kinetic energy of the emitted pions (<ω> = 3 T/2) are obtained. Numerical predictions and comparison with other models on the pionic radioactivity are presented. (Author)
