AbstractAbstract
[en] A preliminary 153Dy level scheme, fed from the decays of 153Ho and 153sup(m)Ho, is presented. At both Ho isomers correspond two distinct level schemes, with respectively low and high spins. The low spin part seems very similar to the low spin scheme of the 151Gd isotone, the interpretation of which suppose a small deformation. The high spin part, dominated by the strong β+ transition (h11/2)p → (h9/2)n, can be correlated to the scheme obtained by in-beam excitations. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In a recent experiment carried out with the EUROGAM PHASE II γ-ray spectrometer three new superdeformed (SD) bands have been established in 153Ho. The properties of these SD bands are discussed in terms of proton particle-hole excitations and are compared to the SD bands in the adjacent nuclei. This is the first observation of SD structures in a Z = 67 nucleus. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A few examples of the nuclear behaviour at high angular momenta by studying γ-rays emitted in (HI,Xn) reactions are presented. As an example the study of very-high spin states in 153Ho via discrete-line γ-ray spectroscopy, and a comparison between the partial decay schemes of 153Ho and the neighbouring 152Dy and 154Er nuclei are discussed in the context of the high spin structure. Also comments on some phenomena observed at high spin states in 153Ho and 152Dy nuclei are presented. (author)

[en] Full text: The Indian National Gamma Array comprising of about 8 clovers, in its third phase was stationed at VECC. Several experiments were successfully completed using this facility. The unique energy range and the availability of inert 20Ne projectile were exploited to populate nuclei difficult to access using conventional fusion reactions. During this presentation, the results obtained by the various University groups on the level structure of spherical (54Mn, 50, 51Cr, 153Ho) and deformed (178Os) nuclei would be presented. (author)

Their structural features evolve from pure single particle excitations to strongly deformed collective modes with increase in spin as well as in the number of valence particles. In the present work 153Ho has been theoretical studied, especially the lifetimes of the three isomers in the positive parity states to verify the claim of prolate deformation for these states
