AbstractAbstract
[en] The evaluation of nuclear data for 244Pu and 237Pu was made in the neutron energy region from 10-5 eV to 20 MeV. For the both nuclides, the total, elastic and inelastic scattering, fission, capture, (n,2n) and (n,3n) reaction cross sections were evaluated on the basis of theoretical calculation. The resonance parameters were given for 244Pu. The angular and energy distributions of secondary neutrons were also estimated for the both nuclides. The results were compiled in the ENDF-5 format and will be adopted in JENDL Actinoid File. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The goals for the final year were; (1) to continue ongoing efforts to develop and enhance GRETINA and work towards GRETA; (2) to investigate the structure of non-yrast states in shape transitional Sm and Gd nuclei; (3) to investigate the structure of selected light Cd nuclei; (4) to exploit the surrogate reaction technique to extract (n,f) cross sections for actinide nuclei, particularly the first measurement of the "2"3"6Pu and "2"3"7Pu(n,f) cross sections.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The dynamic deformation model has been extended to the problem of fission in such a way that several thousand channels including particle-decay, α-decay, heavy-ion-emission, asymmetric fission, and symmetric fission can be taken into account. The model also includes a kinetic shell correction which was ignored in previous predictions for superheavy nuclei. This model is in better agreement with experimental life-times. A new location of the superheavy peak is predicted at Z=116 (eka-polonium), A=300, total half-life=1079 years. New heavy-ion-fusion experiments and the means of identifying the superheavy elements are suggested. (orig.)

[en] Sixteen actinide nuclei: U-234 and -236; Np-237; Pu-236, -237, -238, -242, and -244; Am-241, -242* and -243; and Cm-241, -242, -243, -244, and -248, have been evaluated for ENDF/B-V with particular attention given to the fast fission and capture cross sections. Seven nuclei have not appeared on ENDF/B before and major changes for previous ENDF/B files have been made

AbstractAbstract
[en] Method, based on a shadow effect, is used to measure the induced fission durations for 235,238,239Np and 237,238Pu. Analysis of experimental data is conducted in the framework of statistical theory of nuclear reactions with provision for the lifetimes of excited transition states in the second potential well. Experimental data are described satisfactorily at the values of these state density parameters equal to 34,50,35,11,35,60 MeV-1 for 237,238Pu respectively
