[en] Longitudinal and tangential components of the mean velocity field inside the Ranque tube of square cross section are presented for a central longitudinal section. Measurements are carried at central plane over the entire tube, with 1-2 millimeter step in transverse direction and with 10 millimeter step along the tube. [en] Though ordered parallel rolls is the prefered mode of flow in rectangular enclosures in the convective stationary regime near the threshold instability, others flow pattern can be destabilized in a non stationary regime. [en] The proposal concerns a preferably rectangular door which is to be used for locks in nuclear reaktors, whose coreful sealing must be guaranteed. According to the invention, this door has an elbow lever mechanism which works centrally on the door and whose other end is joined to a fixed point; hydraulic drive is advantageous. [en] The proposal concerns a telescopic tube guidance for at least two telescopic tubes, lying one within the other, under bending stress, especially for manipulators of heavy loads such as barrels with radioactive content. In order to be well able to manipulate the barrels, it is proposed to provide the telescopic tubes with a rectangular cross-section, to mount guide rails, and to arrange dashpots at right angle. At the inner sides of the exterior tubes, rolls are provided for the transmission of the main bending forces to the guidance in one direction, as well as friction facings at right angle to these. Constitution: The shielding device is configured from a fixed wall and a movable wall. It forms a complex path while the device is running and when the device is stopped the path can be converted into a straight path by moving the movable wall.
