AbstractAbstract
[en] A new method for obtaining 111mCd using 111In as its generator is described. 111In was produced on the U-200 accelerator based on the reaction Ag109(α, 2n)111In using a beam energy of 30 MeV. 111In was isolation from the Ag target and Cd by co-precipitation with La(OH)3. Subsequently, it was separated from La(III) by ion-exchange chromatography. The 111In - 111mCd generator system was based on di-(2-ethylhexyl) orthophosphoric acid (HDEHP). A 111mCd preparation with a high specific activity (about 103 Ci/g) was obtained in a high chemical yield (> 95%). The value of electron absorption by the isomeric state of 111mCd (396 keV) was estimated through 111In decay measurements. The calculated ratio was (6.01 ± 0.32).10-5. The preparation contained negligible amounts of the parent 111In (<0.6%) and was highly stable during 10 days of operation

AbstractAbstract
[en] A procedure for the preparation of 109Cd X-ray source is described. The 109Cd is obtained by irradiating silver target in a 1.5 m, cyclotron according to the nuclear reaction 109Ag (d, 2n) 109Cd. Silver is quantitatively separated from cadmium by elution with 6.9N HBr from a column of 717 anion exchange resin in the bromide form with a recovery of ≥ 98%. The source is prepared from the obtained 109Cd by using the molecular plating method and it satisfactorily meets the needs of water-oil densimeter for the oil industry

AbstractAbstract
[en] The α induced reactions are important to study due to the breakup problem of the projectile as its binding energy is large. The study of α-induced reactions and their possible isomeric cross-section ratio (ICR) have significant importance for testing nuclear models. The cross section production of isomeric states is more difficult to be predicted than for the total reaction channels due to the detailed structure of the residual nucleus has been taken into consideration. The 109Ag(α, n)112In reaction has been studied theoretically in the present work. The present work describes the scarcity of experimental data. More measurements are needed for this reaction channel to validate the theoretical calculations

AbstractAbstract
[en] 109Ag is used for the production of 109Cd, 110mAg, 110In radioisotopes which are used in X-ray fluorescence analysis, radiation sources and life sciences. It can also be used as flux monitors. 110mAg is produced by 109Ag which undergoes - decay into 110Cd. 110Cd is used for the production of 110In, 113mIn radioisotopes which have imperative role in health care, medical applications and pharmaceutical industries, also for production of helium-cadmium lasers. The EXchange FORmat (EXFOR) data repository shows that there is insufficiency of the data for 109Ag(n,γ) 110mAg at low energy of neutrons. The main goal of this study is to measure cross section and covariance for this nuclear reaction. In light of the discrepancy and inadequacy of nuclear data cross section; we are the first to calculate the cross section of 109Ag(n,γ) 110mAg reaction in the above mentioned neutron energies. The preliminary results of cross section are presented herein. The theoretical results predicted by TALYS by using ldmodel-6 is in good agreement with the present data
