AbstractAbstract
[en] Reactive silicon in waters was determined indirectly by counting sup(101)Tc after neutron activation of molybdosilcic acid (MSA) extracted with methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK). The detection limit (defined as twice the standard deviation for the blank) was 0.2 ng mLsup(-1). The relative standard deviation was 3 percent at the 10 ng mLsup(-1) level and 30 percent at the 1 ng mLsup(-1) level. Phosphate, arsenate, and ferric ions did not interfere by themselves. Interference from the reduction of molybdophosphoric acid by tannic acid was eliminated through the use of dichromate. The salt effect normally encountered in the analysis of sea water was examined with particular reference to silicate content of reagent salts used in preparing synthetic sea water

AbstractAbstract
[en] The activities 101Mo and 101Tc produced from neutron capture by natural Mo were chemically separated and studied using Ge(Li) γ-ray detectors. Out of 185 transitions observed in the decay of 101Mo, 170 were assigned to 44 excited levels in 101Tc. For the decay of 101Tc, 26 of 27 transitions were placed among 10 excited levels in 101Ru. The interpretation of the 101Tc level scheme using the shell-model approach is not satisfactory even for a five-particle calculation. Systematics of odd-A level structures in the region of A=101 indicate that the level structure of 101Tc could be due partly to the onset of collective effects

AbstractAbstract
[en] 101Tc is a very important nuclide as fuel burn up monitor, and its half-life value has been measured many times, however, they were so different from each other. In this work, 101Tc liquid samples were prepared by irradiating analytical pure (NH4)6Mo7O24 · 4H2O solution in Miniature Neutron Source Reactor (MNSR) of China. A rapid procedure which takes only 5 min was developed to separate 101Tc samples. The final samples were analyzed by γ-ray spectrum using high purity Germanium (HPGe) multi-channel analysis system. The results showed that there were no peaks of other nuclides except 101Tc. The half-life of 101Tc was accurately measured with HPGe γ-detector following 306.8 keV γ-ray for about 140 min, and three methods R-value method, iterative method and translation method were adopted to process the data. Finally, a more precise and accurate value 14.02 ± 0.01 min was given and compared with former measured data. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the present work, the structures of the excited positive/negative-parity yrast states of 101Tc are discussed by using a projected shell model, and a band diagram calculated for the positive-parity yrast band is also shown in order to extract physics out of numerical results. In addition, the analysis of other three bands originated from 3/2-[301], 5/2-[303], and 1/2+[431] Nilsson states, respectively, is also performed in the framework of this model. Until recently, very little property about the N=52-54 intermediate nuclei in the Z∼42-44 region has been known. In order to understand these 'transitional nuclei', we select the nucleus 95Tc as an example. So in this work, we also present our investigation of the level structure in the 95Tc nucleus. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The decay of 101Tc to levels in 101Ru has been studied using the three-parameter (γ-γ-t) coincidence system of HpGe-HpGe detectors. From the coincidence data, a new decay scheme was constructed. The 174.91, 226.02, 312.40, 408.77 and 417.91 kev gamma rays were observed for the first time and their transition scheme have been assigned, the transition position of 616.3 keV gamma ray has been assigned at the same time. The intensities of β- decay and the values of logft to most levels were calculated

From the coincidence data, the new decay scheme was constructed. The previously reported 104.70, 105.95 and 774.15 keV γ rays were observed, and have been assigned to the decay scheme for the first time. A newly observed 1508.01 keV γ ray has also been assigned to the scheme for the first time. The intensities of β- and the values of log ft to most levels were calculated

AbstractAbstract
[en] New modes of production and supply of short-lived radioisotopes using accelerators are becoming attractive alternatives to the use of nuclear reactors. In this study, the use of a compact accelerator neutron source (CANS) was implemented to explore the production of Tc and Tc. Irradiations were performed with neutrons generated from a 16.5 MeV cyclotron utilising the O(p, n)F reaction during routine F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) production in a commercial radiopharmacy. Natural molybdenum targets in metal form were employed for the production of several Tc isotopes interest via (n, γ) reactions on Mo and Mo. The production of Tc and Tc under these conditions is considered and discussed.

AbstractAbstract
[en] 101Mo is one of the key nuclides in diagnosing fission burn-up. However, it's difficult to measure its nuclear decay data due to its short half-life. Present study concerns in the measurements of γ-ray emission probabilities, Pγ, of 101Mo and 101Tc using the balance of scheme method and the entire process recording. The Pγ of 101Mo by the entire process recording is about 5% lower than that by using the balance of scheme method. The Pγ of 101Tc using the two methods agree each other very well. So, it seems the γ-ray emission probabilities as well as measurement method still need study further for 101Mo. (authors)
