AbstractAbstract
[en] The dissertation is initiated to the development of optimal methods for obtaining new thermoelectric materials of the Zintl phases, of the Yb14MnSb11 systems and its Yb14-xLnxMnSb11 solid solutions, where Ln is La, Nd and Sm; x=0.1-0.9. The single - crystals have a tetragonal structure and lattice parameters depend on the composition. In case when x=0.5, the additive enters to the crystal lattice. The melting process of all obtained 20 alloys proceeds with decomposition, melting points, thermal expansion coefficients and Debye temperatures of them are determined. (author)

[en] Present article is devoted to synthesis methods of powders of new Zintl phases. The possibility of synthesis of inter metallic compounds from the mixture of ytterbium, bismuth, manganese, antimony oxides by lithium hydride reduction has been studied. It has been defined that elaborated method allows to obtain thermoelectric materials which are Zintl phases using as an initial materials oxides, hydrides and other compounds.

[en] Methods for the synthesis and growth of single crystals of new Zintl phases have been considered. Solid solutions of Yb14MnSb11, Ln-La-Sm types have been obtained. It has been shown that all samples obtained have a tetragonal structure of the Ca14AlSb11 type. The lattice parameters have been found, the experimental and X-ray densities have been determined. The coefficients of thermal expansion, melting points have been measured, and the Debye temperatures have been calculated. (author)
