AbstractAbstract
[en] Special kinematical conditions for nuclear reactions with three and four particles in the final state in which a large part of the available phase space could be covered by a single measurement have been discussed. The 7Li(d, αα)n reaction has been measured and used for illustration. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Current status of the search for T=1 cluster states in 10Be, 10B [1] and 10C is presented. The best known of the three, 10Be [2-4] has an established rotational band (6.18, 7.54 and 10.15 MeV) with unusually large moment of inertia. Status of their isobaric analogue in 10B is presented, with emphasis on 3He+11Be, 7Li+6Li and 7Be+6,7Li reactions.(author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] 7Li, 6Li and 6He spectra from 14.6 MeV neutron irradiation of 7Li and 6Li targets were measured at forward angles. Data on 6Li(n,n0)6Li, 7Li(n,n0,1)7Li, 6Li(n,p)6He, 7Li(n,d)6He and 7Li(n,2n)6Li reactions were compared with previous measurements. Angular distributions for elastic scattering were also compared with theoretical predictions obtained using different optical-model potentials. (orig.)

[en] Neutron burstlike emissions were detected during galvanostatic electrolysis of heavy water. A sintered palladium cathode of cylindrical shape was used. After 166 h of electrolysis at 200 mA/cm2, two bursts of neutrons with durations of ∼200 and 100 s were observed. The cathode temperature did not show any change. 18 refs., 5 figs., 1 tab

AbstractAbstract
[en] The cross sections for the 6Li(n,αx) and 7Li(n,αx) reactions have been measured by the detection of α particles in coincidence with other charged particles (x). Prominent structures in the coincident α-particle energy spectra have been observed only in the case of 7Li. They could be attributed to the processes involving the states of 4H

[en] Coincident energy spectra of α-particles from the 7Li(n,αx) reactions were measured at Esub(n)=14.6 MeV. Contributions of the 7Li(n,αsub(o))4H reaction were observed. Resonance energy and reduced width of 4H ground state were determined. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The radiation chemical yield, G(HCl), was evaluated for chlorobenzene-based dosimetry systems irradiated by low-energy protons (3 - 5.5 MeV) and 60Co gamma radiation under similar irradiation conditions. The irradiations were done with the Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator and the reference 60Co gamma source. Two dosimetry systems were used in the measurements: the ECB solutions containing 10 vol. % chlorobenzene in aqueous 96 vol. % ethanol, and the CET dosimetry system containing 10 vol. % chlorobenzene, 10 vol. % ethanol and 80 vol. % trimethylpentane. The results show that the values of radiation chemical yield of hydrochloric acid, G(HCl), values for protons are lower than those for gammas. With the decrease of proton energy, the linear energy transfer (LET) increases and the reduction of G(HCl) becomes more pronounced: from lower by 5% (5.5 MeV) to lower by 14% (3.0 MeV) for the ECB system and from lower by 5% (5.0 MeV) to lower by 8% (3.0 MeV) for the CET system. AbstractAbstract
[en] The system 10 vol. % chlorobenzene, 10 vol. % ethanol, 2,2,4-trimethyl-pentane (the CET system) has been described in our previous publications as a new low-level chemical dosimeter which might compete with the ferrous-sulphate dosimeter as a secondary dosimetric standard. The CET system is currently used in practical dosimetry as a basis for the accident and emergeny personal dosimeter DL-M4 and for dosimetry calibration work. Exposed to the mixed neutron plus gamma field, the system measures directly the total tissue dose: the response of the CET system per gray of neutron dose in muscle tissue is nearly equal to the response per tissue gray of gamma dose for radiation energies up to 15 MeV. In this work the results of irradiations of DL-M4 dosimeters and the CET system in silica cells are compared. Optical cells with a light path of 10 cm and 1 cm were employed for irradiation and subsequent spectrophotometric measurement. The irradiations were performed by neutron generator (monoenergetic neutrons of 14.5 MeV) and cyclotron (neutrons of about 5 MeV mean energy) at the Ruder Boskovic Institute. The results show that the response of the CET system in silica cells and of DL-M4 is approximately the same for neutrons of mean energy about 5 MeV. The resulting doses are nearly tissue equivalent. For 14.5 MeV neutrons, the response of the CET system in 10 cm cells is approximately the same as in the tissue equivalent chamber, while for DL-M4 dosimeters it is about 85% of tissue dose
