AbstractAbstract
[en] The light Krypton isotopes were studied in a series of Coulomb excitation experiments using radioactive beams at GANIL. The static quadrupole moments found in these experiments give firm experimental evidence for the shape coexistence scenario that is based on theoretical calculations and on the systematics of low-lying excited 0+ states. AbstractAbstract
[en] A rotational band has been unambiguously observed in an odd-proton transfermium nucleus for the first time. An in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic study of 101251Md has been performed using the γ-ray array JUROGAM combined with the gas-filled separator RITU and the focal plane device GREAT. The experimental results, compared to Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov calculations, lead to the interpretation that the rotational band is built on the [521]1/2- Nilsson state. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The aim of this workshop was to discuss the status of experiments at GANIL facility using Exogam with Vamos, Tiara and other ancillary detectors. This document gathers most of the slides that were presented at the workshop, it concerns 8 presentations: 1) the status of Spiral and Spiral-II, 2) the status of Tiara (Tiara array is used for the study of nuclear transfer reactions with radioactive beams in inverse kinematics), 3) data acquisition for the ancillary detectors, 4) the identification of gamma-ray in nuclei around Sm130: probing the maximally deformed light rare earth region, 5) the Coulomb excitation of radioactive krypton beams (Kr76, Kr74), 6) the influence of weakly bound neutrons on fusion around the Coulomb barrier, 7) single particle transfer on doubly-magic Ni56, and 8) the study of N=16 for neutron rich nuclei with Ne26(d,p)Ne27 transfer reaction

AbstractAbstract
[en] The fission probability distributions of 232,233,234Pa and 231Th have been measured up to an excitation energy of 15 MeV, using the transfer reactions 232Th(3He, t)232Pa, 232Th(3He, d)233Pa, 232Th(3He, p)234Pa and 232Th(3He, 4He)231Th. From these measurements, the neutron induced fission cross sections of 231Pa, 233Pa and 230Th have been determined from the product of the fission probabilities of 232Pa, 233Pa and 231Th respectively with the calculated compound nucleus formation cross sections in the 231Pa+n, 233Pa+n and 230Th+n reactions. The validity of the applied method has been successfully tested with the existing neutron induced fission cross sections of 230Th and 231Pa. Special emphasis is put on the 233Pa(n, f) reaction which is of importance for thorium fueled nuclear reactors. Based on a statistical model analysis of the neutron induced fission cross section as a function of neutron energy, it has been possible to determine the barrier parameters of the 234Pa fissioning nucleus. Cross sections for the compound nucleus inelastic scattering 233Pa(n, n') and radiative capture 233Pa(n, γ) reactions have also been calculated and compared with recent evaluations

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two rotational bands have been found in the transfermium nuclei 251Md and 255Lr, the latter being the heaviest nucleus so far studied in-beam. Both are assigned to a [521]1/2- Nilsson state by comparison to theory. The experiments have been carried out in the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyvaeskylae (JYFL), where the array of germanium detectors JUROGAM was used in conjunction with the recoil-seperator RITU and the focal-plane setup GREAT for gamma-spectroscopic studies

AbstractAbstract
[en] Neutron induced fission cross-section of 233Pa in the fast neutron energy range from 0.5 to 10 MeV was determined for the first time as a two term product of the fission probability of 234Pa nucleus and the same compound nucleus formation cross-section. The first term was measured with the transfer reaction 232Th(3He,p) 234Pa while the second one was calculated. The tendency of the resulting data to agree with the existing evaluated one, is a proof for the validity of the utilised method. (author)
