AbstractAbstract
[en] The method of simulation of multiple Coulomb scattering of heavy charged particles with allowance for ionization losses is suggested. The suggested method of multiple scattering of heavy charged particles in extended targets gives more precise description of space-angular distributions of narrow beam of charged particles. The estimated parameters of the proton beam convergence points to the necessity of allowance for multiple Coulomb scattering control when designing neutron-producing targets of meson factories, at evaluation of accelerators protection. Inaccurate description of scattering in the range of large angles shouldn't be considered as essential limitation of the given method, as the aim of this work in the description of multiple scattering most of protons, whereas the number of scattering on large angles is not large

[en] The Monte-Carlo method is used to describe the development of meson-nucleon showers which are produced in multicomponent fissile material under the action of a high-energy beam of deuterons. Calculations were done on the basis of the cascade-evaporation model for inelastic particle-nucleus interactions including the competition of evaporation-fission for excited nuclei. The results of the calcultations are in good agreement with existing experimental data. If the primary energy of the deuterons is increased from 0.3 to 2 GeV, the released thermal energy and the neutron yield at the target increases by more than one order of magnitude. For 0.3 and 1 GeV the number of neutrons at the uranium target produced by a deuteron beam is 1.5 to 1.3 times larger than for a proton beam of equal intensity and energy. In both cases, however, the yield of neutrons is practically identical for energies above or equal to 2 GeV
