AbstractAbstract
[en] We have tested the behaviour of an acrylic scintillator measuring the attenuation length and the time resolution of a 7.8 m long counter. On a small sample the photon yield relative to the NE 110 plastic has been measured. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Luminosity and beam angular divergence have been measured at LEP with a fast monitor based on the single bremsstrahlung process e+e- → e+e-γ. The photons emitted at the interaction point 1 are detected by an electromagnetic calorimeter: both the photon energy and the impact point are measured. The beam angular divergence and the luminosity are determined in few minutes with a statistical error of 1%. With the present experimental layout the systematic error is of few percent; it would be reduced by performing the measurement on an experimental interaction point. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The scattering of thermal photons present in the vacuum pipe of LEP against the high energy positron beam has been detected. The spectrum of the back-scattered photons is presented for a positron beam energy of 46.1 GeV. Measurements have been performed in the interaction region 1 with the LEP-5 experiment calorimeter. AbstractAbstract
[en] During the setting up of the LEP-5 experiment, we tested a longitudinal SCIFI e.m. calorimeter, having a module cross area 25x25 mm2 and 12.5x12.5 mm2 for large and small modules respectively. The results were obtained with 10 and 50 GeV electrons, and concern the impact point resolution and the transverse distribution of the e.m. shower energy inside the calorimeter. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A prototype of scintillating fibres electromagnetic calorimeter has been constructed and tested with 2, 4 and 8 GeV electron beams at the CERN PS. The calorimeter modules consist of a Bi-Pb-Sn alloy and scintillating fibres. The fibres are parallel to the modules longer axis, and nearly parallel to the incident electrons direction. The calorimeter has two different segmentation regions of 24x24 mm2 and 8x24 mm2 cross area respectively. Results on energy and impact point space resolution are obtained and compared for the two different granularities. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The cross section for the reaction e+e- → π+π-π+π- has been measured at the e+e- storage ring Adone, in the total c.m. energy range 1.42-2.20 GeV. The peak and the following descent of the rho'(1600) resonance is observed. Using also lower energy data, and assuming that only one resonant amplitude contributes to the observed cross section, the parameters of the rho'(1600) are deduced. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Total cross sections for reactions e+e- → π+π-π0, π+π-2π0, 2π+2π-π0, 2π+2π-2π0, 3π+3π- have been measured in the total c.m. energy range 1.42-2.20 GeV. Partial R = sigmasub(had)/sigmasub(μ+μ-) values for two and four produced charged pions, and cross sections for positive and negative G-parity states are also reported. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The KLOE experiment has collected an integrated luminosity of about 2.5 fb-1 at the φ factory DAφNE. φ radiative decays have been used to investigate the properties of the light scalar mesons f0(980)/a0(980), whose structure is still controversial.A direct search of σ(600)→π0π0 decay has been performed with data taken at 1 GeV, where φ decays are suppressed. The whole KLOE data set includes also 100 million η's produced through the radiative decay φ→ηγ and tagged by means of the monochromatic recoil photon. From this sample we have investigated η decays relevant to test ChPT predictions. We present published and preliminary results achieved from full statistics.
