AbstractAbstract
[en] A technique of passive corpuscular diagnostics is described which is used for measuring ion spectra and determining most important parameters of a dense - (n approximately 1016 cm-3) high-power (approximately 10 keV) plasmoid to a high degree of accuracy, good temporal (approximately 0.2 μs) and spatial (approximately 1 mm) resolution. Direct measurements of the energy spectra of ion component of a plasmoid generated by the MK-500 powerful coaxial plasma injector are made. The measurements have revealed that the main plasma parameters lie within the ranges: plasmoid energy = 6 to 10 keV, ion temperature = 20 to 50 eV. Comparative analysis of the results of measurements conducted by means of the described technique with the MK-500 accelerator revealed good agreement with data of other diagnostics

AbstractAbstract
[en] Technical solutions for the computer control systems which was designed for the proton and H- injectors of the MMF linac are considered. The base of systems is the LabVIEW software. The National Instruments Corp input/output modules are used. Proton injector operator workstation provides the control (up to 73 channels) of the 400 kV pulse generator, which can operate with repetition rate up to 100 Hz. The control of the ion source which is under high potential (45 channels for H+ and 104 for H-) is carried out with the help of the fiber line. The analog channels transmission band is up to 1.6 MHz

AbstractAbstract
[en] The isolation improvements of the beam forming system (BFS) of the MMF linac proton injector ion source are reported. The mean beam current and, accordingly, BFS electrode heating were increased when the MMF linac has began to operate regularly in long beam sessions with 50 Hz pulse repetition rate. That is why the BFS electrode high-voltage isolation that was made previously as two consequently and rigidly glued solid cylinder insulators has lost mechanical and electric durability. The substitution of large (160 mm) diameter cylinder insulator for four small diameter (20 mm) tubular rods has improved vacuum conditions in the space of beam forming and has allowed to operate without failures when beam currents being up to 250 mA and extraction and focusing voltage being up to 25 and 40 kV respectively. Moreover, the construction provides the opportunity of electrode axial move. The insulators are free from electrode thermal expansion mechanical efforts in a transverse direction

AbstractAbstract
[en] The exact calculation of multi-cascade discriminator voltage loss has urged us to increase the number of cascades up to 32. In addition the assemblies of KVI-3 capacitors with equivalent capacitance approx 1000pF were mounted in bridge to all diodes(both direct and inverse). They serve to eliminate the cascades overvoltage when breakdowns in accelerating tube or high-voltage transformer occur

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the INR of RAS the H- injector was developed with the following parameters: mean current up to 400 μA; pulse repetition rate 50 Hz; energy of ions 400 keV. Commissioning of the H- injector was started in the end of 2006 and 7 mA pulse H- current with 180 μs pulse duration, 10 Hz pulse repetition rate has been obtained

AbstractAbstract
[en] The most essential results on the MMF Linac Injector beam current increase are given. The problem is solving in two ways: 1) reconstructing of the optics at the input part of the accelerating tube; 2) pulse repetition rate magnification. Possibility of the pulse current increase with the emittance growth being limited is studied. The emittance and phase density of the beam at the exit of the accelerating tube are presented. The experimental data are compared with the numerical calculations. Preliminary results on the injector transition to the 100 Hz repetition rate are given
